What Are Pokemon Camps?

Thank you for printing this page from to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Pokemon Sword and Shield

Early in your journey, your mother will give your trainer with camping gear. With it, you can setup a Pokemon Camp in most areas across The Galar Region whenever you please to do so. Pokemon Camps are the successor to Pokemon Refresh and Pokemon Amie in previous Mainstream Pokemon Games, allowing you to interact with the Pokemon in your Party within your camp. This includes talking to your Pokemon and even playing with them through a variety of items (which are obtained as you improve your Curry Dex). Additionally, you can create Curry while in your Pokemon Camp, allowing you to give boosts to your Pokemon and attract other Wild Pokemon to your Pokemon Camp (who might want to end up joining your team).

While connected to the interest in the Wild Area, it is possible to join other trainers across the globe within their Pokemon Camps. While in it, you can interact with their Pokemon and even make a Group Curry. There are even Non Playable Characters within the game that will have their own Pokemon Camps set up. Just like the Pokemon Camps of other trainers while connected to the internet, you can interact with their Pokemon.
