Motostoke Gym

Gym Mission

The third Pokemon Gym in both Pokemon Sword & Shield is found in Motostoke, and its a Fire Type Gym. Before facing it, you will actually run into the Gym Leader in the Galar Mine. He will mention how he trains in the mine to get stronger, and that he's usually the Gym leader most trainers cannot defeat during the Gym Challenge. The Mission for this Pokemon Gym sees players having to get 5 Points before the other Gym Trainers can. To earn points, you must defeat or capture the Wild Pokemon that will appear. You will earn one point for defeating the Pokemon before the other trainer or three points for capturing it. All of this will be done in Multi-Battle Formats with the Gym Trainers you are competing against. After reaching 5 Points, you will proceed to the Gym Stadium.

Gym Trainer Darren: Level 24 Rolycoly, Level 24 Growlithe

Gym Trainer Chaka: Level 24 Sizzlipede, Level 24 Salandit

Gym Leader Elle: Level 24 Salandit

After defeating the Mission, you will go on to face the Gym Leader, Kabu. Like the Pokemon Gym, he is a Fire Type Trainer. He has three different Pokemon, and the final one she'll send into battle, Centiskorch, will have the ability to Gigantamax.

Gym Leader Kabu: Level 25 Nintales, Level 25 Arcanine, Level 27 Centikorch

By defeating Kabu, you will earn the Fire Badge. With it, you will have the ability to catch Pokemon up to Level 35. You will also receive TM38 (Will-o-wisp) and the Fire Uniform.
