Hulbury Gym

Gym Mission

The second Pokemon Gym in both Pokemon Sword & Shield is found in Hulbury, and its a Water Type Gym. Before gaining access to it, however, you must first find Nessa, the Gym Leader, by the lighthouse in Hulbury. Once you do, you can challenge the Gym. The Mission for this Pokemon Gym sees players having to go through a water maze, with certain paths blocked by pillars of water. Players will have to use the switches found in the Gym to change the location of the water pillars, battling trainers on their way to the Stadium.

Gym Trainer Julia: Level 21 Tympole

Gym Trainer Heather: Level 20 Krabby, Level 20 Corphish

Gym Leader Lynn: Level 20 Remoraid, Level 21 Chewtle

After defeating the Mission, you will go on to face the Gym Leader, Nessa. Like the Pokemon Gym, she is a Water Type Trainer. She has three different Pokemon, and the final one she'll send into battle, Drednaw, will have the ability to Dynamax.

Gym Leader Nessa: Level 22 Goldeen, Level 23 Arrokuda, Level 24 Drednaw

By defeating Nessa, you will earn the Water Badge. With it, you will have the ability to catch Pokemon up to Level 30. You will also receive TM36 (Whirlpool) and the Water Uniform.
