Believe it or not, every Pokemon you Encounter in the game (outside of the Pokemon that are Shiny Locked) have a chance at being a Shiny Pokemon. Without any additional methods, all Pokemon have the Base Shiny Rate of 1 in 4,096. If you are in possession of the Shiny Charm (obtained from completing the National Pokedex), this rate automatically increases to 1 in 1,365.33!
All Pokemon that are bred at the Pokemon Daycare will also have a Base Shiny Rate of 1 in 4,096 without any additional methods used. However, if players use the Masuda Method and breed two compatible Pokemon from different regions of the real world, the Base Shiny Rate increases to 1 in 682.7! This can increase further with the help of the Shiny Charm to 1 in 512!
Furthermore, players can increase their chances of finding Shiny Wild Pokemon simply by defeat the same species of Pokemon more and more! If a player defeats or captures 50 Pokemon of the same species, the odds of finding it in its Shiny Form increases to 1 in 2,048 (or 1 in 1,024 with the Shiny Charm)! If a player defeats or captures 100 Pokemon of the same species, the odds of finding it in its Shiny Form increases to 1 in 1,365.33 (or 1 in 819.2 with the Shiny Charm)! If a player defeats or captures 200 Pokemon of the same species, the odds of finding it in its Shiny Form increases to 1 in 1,024 (or 1 in 682.6667 with the Shiny Charm)! If a player defeats or captures 300 Pokemon of the same species, the odds of finding it in its Shiny Form increases to 1 in 819.2 (or 1 in 585.1429 with the Shiny Charm)! If a player defeats or captures 500 Pokemon of the same species, the odds of finding it in its Shiny Form increases to 1 in 682.6667 (or 1 in 512 with the Shiny Charm)!
