What Are Brilliant Auras?

As you journey through The Galar Region, you will come across Pokemon with Brilliant Auras (which is shown with a golden colored aura around the Pokemon). Finding a Pokemon with a Brilliant Aura is completely random, but the likelihood of finding one will increase the more Pokemon of a specific species you battle and catch. The more you catch of a specific Pokemon, the more likely you are to find one with a Brilliant Aura. Additionally, you can increase the odds of find a Pokemon with a Brilliant Aura by Chain Fishing a specific species. You will also earn Watts when catching a Pokemon with a Brilliant Aura.

There a two benefits for catching Pokemon with Brilliant Auras. The first is that these Pokemon will have Maximum Individual Values for at least two of their Base Stat Categories. If that's not good enough, these Pokemon will also have the chance at knowing Egg Moves that otherwise can only be obtained through breeding at a Pokemon Daycare. For example, a Rookidee with a Brilliant Aura could know the Egg Move Sky Attack.
