Walkthrough

After making it through the first sections of the Wild Area, you will finally reach Motostoke. Once there, you will be prompted to go register for the Gym Challenge at the Pokemon Gym. After you do, you and Hop will head to the nearby Inn to sleep for the night. However, when there, you will run into Team Yell for the first time. They will be causing some trouble, and it will be up to you (and Hop) to stop them. After you defeat Team Yell, Marnie will arrive and apologize for their actions. Apparently, they are from the same town as she, and they are her loyal fans and will do whatever it takes to see her become the next Galar Region Championship (even if it is against her wishes). The following day, Leon and Chairman Rose will kick off the Gym Challenge, and you will head towards Route 3 to do so.
