Ballonlea Gym

Gym Mission

The fifth Pokemon Gym in both Pokemon Sword & Shield is found in Ballonlea, and its a Fairy Type Gym. The Mission for this Pokemon Gym sees players having to battle other trainers while answering certain questions from the Gym Leader. If you answer her questions correctly, your Pokemon will receive a Stat Boost. If you answer them wrong, your Pokemon will receive a Stat Decrease during these battles. After defeating all the trainers, you will proceed to the Gym Stadium.

Answer #1: Both answers (Poison/Steel) are correct

Answer #2: Annette

Question #3: What do I eat for breakfast every morning?

Answer #3: Omelets

Gym Trainer Teresa: Level 34 Swirlix, Level 34 Aromatisse

Gym Leader Theodora: Level 35 Morgrem, Level 35 Gardevoir

Gym Stadium

After defeating the Mission, you will go on to face the Gym Leader, Opal. Like the Pokemon Gym, she is a Fairy Type Trainer. She has four different Pokemon, and the final one she'll send into battle, Alcremie, will have the ability to Gigantamax. She will continue to ask you questions during your battle with her, and you will again be rewarded with Stat Boosts or Stat Decreases depending on if you answer them correctly.

Answer #3: 16 years old

Gym Leader Allister: Level 36 Weezing, Level 36 Mawile, Level 37 Togekiss, Level 38 Alcremie

By defeating Opal, you will earn the Fairy Badge. With it, you will have the ability to catch Pokemon up to Level 45. You will also receive TM87 (Draining Kiss) and the Fairy Uniform.
