Boost events are the short timed bonuses that pop up throughout Monopoly Go, either as milestone rewards you unlock during events and tournaments, or as scheduled flash boosts that run at set times during the day. They're the same boosts either way — a Cash Boost you unlock at milestone 11 works exactly the same as a Cash Boost that appears on the daily schedule. The only difference is how you trigger it.

When a boost activates, you get a set amount of time where something in the game is enhanced — cheaper builds, bigger cash rewards, extra wheel spins, that kind of thing. Scheduled boosts have a time window, say 9 AM to 3 PM ET, and your personal timer starts the moment you log in or are active during that window. So there's no rush to catch the start — just make sure you're playing at some point before the window closes.

Knowing which boosts are worth planning around and which ones you can ignore is one of the easiest ways to get more out of the dice you already have. Below is a breakdown of every boost event in Monopoly Go, what it actually does, and when it's worth paying attention to. For predicted boost times for today and the coming days, check our daily events schedule.

Here's what each boost event does and when it's worth paying attention to.

Cash Boost icon Cash Boost

Increases the cash you earn from all sources while it's active, including landing on tiles, shutdowns and heists. Typically lasts 5 to 10 minutes. This is a straightforward boost, and you can quickyl increase your game cash with this one especially if you are using a high multiplier. If you need game cash, then look out for this one.

Best used: When you're about to do a stretch of rolling anyway and could use the extra cash for building. Even better if you can line it up just before a Builder's Bash so you have cash ready to spend at a discount.

Builder's Bash icon Builder's Bash

Reduces the cost of upgrading landmarks by up to 50% while it's running. The discount applies to purchasing, upgrading and repairing landmarks. Typically lasts 45 minutes to one hour.

This is one of the most impactful boosts in the game. If you've been holding off on building because landmark costs are steep, this is when you spend. The ideal play is to save up a decent pile of cash before unlocking this milestone, then use the discounted window to get hotels on as many property sets as possible. If you know a Color Wheel Boost is coming up soon after — check the daily events schedule — try to time your Builder's Bash unlock, if you are getting from an event milestone, so you build cheaply first, then land on completed sets during the Color Wheel Boost to get double spins.

The only downside is that you could well lose your game cash if it is sitting in your account while you are waiting for this setup via Bank Heists from other players to your profile.

Best used: When you have cash saved up and want to push through expensive landmark upgrades. Combine with Color Wheel Boost for maximum value — build during Bash, spin during Wheel.

Color Wheel Boost icon Color Wheel Boost

When you land on a tile that has hotels across all of the tiles in the same color set while this boost is running, you get two wheel spins instead of one. The wheel can award dice, cash, stickers, or prizes from the vault wedges — the green vault wedge can drop up to two blue sticker packs. Typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes, and usually 20.

This is where the Builder's Bash combo really pays off. If you built hotels on multiple color sets during Builder's Bash, every landing on those completed sets during Color Wheel gives you double the wheel rewards. The wheel is one of the better sources of sticker packs in the game, so this boost is worth timing carefully.

Best used: Immediately after a Builder's Bash where you've completed several color sets with hotels. The more completed sets you have on the board, the more value you get from this.

Mega Heist icon Mega Heist

When Mega Heist is active, landing on a railroad gives you a chance of playing a Mega Heist instead of a regular Shutdown or Bank Heist. You'll see a timer in the top right corner of the game board when it's running. In the Mega Heist, finding three gold bars wins you a huge amount of in-game cash and more tournament points that usual. Typically lasts around 45 minutes to one hour.

This is the boost to plan your heavy rolling sessions around. The combination of massive cash rewards and tournament point potential makes Mega Heist the single best time to burn through a big stack of dice if you're pushing for a top leaderboard position. Use the highest multiplier you're comfortable with during this window.

Best used: When you're pushing hard in a tournament and want to maximize your leaderboard position. Also great for building up a cash reserve if you need funds for landmarks.

High Roller icon High Roller

During High Roller, you can increase your dice multiplier far above the normal limits — up to x1000. This means every scoring tile you land on is worth dramatically more points, but you're also burning through dice at a dramatic rate. Typically lasts 5 to 15 minutes.

This is a high risk, high reward boost. If you hit the right tiles with a massive multiplier you can make enormous progress in an event or tournament in just a few rolls. But if you don't land where you need to, you can burn through thousands of dice very quickly with nothing to show for it. Most free to play players skip this one or use it conservatively.

Best used: Only if you have a large dice reserve and are willing to gamble. Works best during events with many scoring tiles on the board (like Chance, Community Chest and Railroad events) where you're more likely to hit something useful on any given roll. Avoid this during corner tile events where your odds of hitting a scoring tile are low. Pickups are another good event to try your luck with the High Roller on locations of the board where there are many pickup tiles close together near a railroad.

Jackpot Stash icon Free Parking for dice, cash or event tokens (Jackpot Stash)

When the Free Parking event is active, landing on certain corner tiles (Go, Just Visiting, and Go to Jail) or tax and utility tiles accumulates rewards based on your dice multiplier. This keeps building up as you land on those tiles, and you collect the entire accumulated pot when you land on the Free Parking tile. The pot resets to zero after you collect it.

Depending on the variant running, the pot accumulates either dice rolls, game cash or event tokens. The dice version (Free Parking for Dice) is generally more useful since dice are the harder resource to come by. If you see a high amount building up, it's worth bumping your multiplier when you're close to one of the accumulating corner tiles to stack up the pot faster. Duration is typically 30 to 45 minutes.

The version with event tokens for rewards is also known as Jackpot Stash and works in the same way, except there is usually a full day window to grab this event for about 45 minutes.

Worth it? Yes, especially the dice and event token variants. If you see Free Parking for Dice on the schedule or Jackpot Stash, try to log in during that window.

Cash Grab icon Cash Grab

During Cash Grab, landing on a Chance tile can trigger a mini-game where cash falls from the sky and you have to tap the screen to collect it. Gold notes are worth more than regular ones. Your final score from the mini-game is multiplied by whatever dice multiplier you had active when you landed on the Chance tile. Duration is typically 10 to 30 minutes.

Worth it? Decent for cash if you happen to be playing during the window, but not worth logging in specifically for, known in some cricles as 'Trash Grab' because it is not that well regarded as a boost event. The cash amounts can be decent if you're using a high multiplier.

Rent Frenzy icon Rent Frenzy

During Rent Frenzy, extra rent targets appear on your board, giving you more opportunities to collect rent from other players when you land on their tiles. This provides a modest cash boost.

Worth it? Minor boost. Nice to have if you're already playing, but not something to schedule your session around.

Landmark Rush icon Landmark Rush

During Landmark Rush, you earn extra rewards every time you complete a landmark upgrade on your current board. The bonus rewards are most valuable during the earlier boards when landmark builds are more affordable, making it easier to complete several during the boost window.

Worth it? Useful if you're actively building and have the cash to complete landmarks during the window. Less useful on expensive late-game boards where you might only complete one or two upgrades in the time available.

Board Rush icon Board Rush

During Board Rush, you receive additional rewards for completing all landmarks on your current board. The bonus is typically around 30 extra dice, though this can vary.

Worth it? Only if you're close to finishing your current board anyway. Not worth rushing expensive landmark builds just to catch this window.

Sticker Boom icon Sticker Boom

During Sticker Boom, you get 50% more stickers from every pack you open. This applies to all packs — green, yellow, pink, blue, purple and the swap pack. The extra stickers are rounded up, so a green pack that normally gives one sticker will give two during Sticker Boom. This event typically has a large window (up to 24 hours) but only lasts for around 10 or 20 minutes once activated. Sticker Boom runs less frequently than other flash boosts, sometimes with gaps of several days to two weeks.

Worth it? Absolutely — this is one of the best flash boosts in the game. If you know a Sticker Boom is coming, try to time the start of a new event or tournament so that you're opening milestone reward packs during the Sticker Boom window. The 50% bonus on higher tier packs is significant for album completion. Check our Sticker Boom schedule for predicted dates.

Roll Match icon Roll Match

Roll Match is a flash boost that appears periodically on the schedule, typically lasting around 10 minutes. While this boost is active you are shown a set of dice on the right side of the game board. If you roll an exact match you get 3x the number of dice you used for that throw[/b].

Worth it? Yes, this is a good event to try to catch when it pops up in the schedule. You can get a good number of dice back with some luck.

Lucky Chance icon Lucky Chance

During Lucky Chance, all Chance cards generally give better than usual outcomes. Whether this is more cash, some free rolls around the board, a direct move to a Bank Heist, or something else, you can generally expect that the Chance cards that you pull during a Lucky Chance event are generally a lot better than usual.

Sometimes when themed special events are on, such as during the Star Wars season or the Harry Potter season, the Lucky Chance cards are a bit different too and may offer more different rewards than usual.

Worth it? Yes, absolutely, if you see this one try to make use of it. The free moves around the board, free dice rolls and the move directly to a Bank Heist are three that are particularly useful.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Boosts

The biggest gains come from combining boosts with each other and with the right events. Here are the combos worth looking for:

Builder's Bash + Color Wheel Boost: The classic combo. Build cheaply during Bash to get hotels on all your property sets, then land on them during Color Wheel for double spins. If you can line up a milestone unlock of Builder's Bash just before a scheduled Color Wheel flash event, that's the ideal timing.

Mega Heist + Tournament push: If you're going for a top leaderboard finish, save your heaviest rolling for when Mega Heist is active. The extra cash and tournament scoring from mega heists can jump you several positions.

Sticker Boom + Event start: Time the start of a new event so that you're opening your early milestone packs during a Sticker Boom window. The early milestones fall quickly, meaning you'll rip through several packs in the 10 minute Sticker Boom duration.

Free Parking for Dice + High multiplier: When the dice variant of Free Parking is running, use a higher multiplier than usual. The accumulating dice pot scales with your multiplier each time you hit a corner tile, so a few corner landings on x10 can stack up a very large pot to collect.

Check the daily events schedule every day to see which boosts are coming up and plan your sessions accordingly. Knowing what's running and when is one of the easiest ways to get more out of the dice you already have.
