Cash Treasures and How to get more pickaxes

Cash Treasures on Monopoly Go is a new type of dig event where there are fewer levels and the rewards that can be won are most cash. This is a great event if you want to collect enough game cash to smash through a few landmarks to collect landmark rewards.

This event runs for just 21 hours starting from 4 PM ET on May 24 2026 until 1 PM ET on May 25 2026. You'll be able to collect pickaxes from any of the other events that are running at the same time, see our daily events schedule for details and links to other event guides. Other ways to get more pickaxes include from Quick Wins and the eight hourly free shop gift, Tycoon Club, and from some level rewards from this dig event.

All Cash Treasures milestones and rewards

Cash rewards are often ignored, but they can be really useful to help you work your way through landmarks and pick up those associated rewards which can be dice and stickers. As well as cash there are also a Mega Heist, Builder's Bash and 100 dice rolls.

The best way to complete this event is unlock the Mega Heist first, then roll the dice to complete enough millestones in the banner event about tournament to collect around 100 pickaxes. Then complete the dig event and then use the money won to upgrade landmarks after you have unlocked the Builder's Bash at level 12.

How to get more pickaxes for Cash Treasures

To play dig events, and work your way through levels you'll need a load of pickaxes, here is how you can get them for free in the game.

• Banner Events and Tournaments - Look out for these events that start at the same time or after this dig event starts. Banner events and tournaments are where you'll get the majority of free pickaxes for any dig event, it's best to check the milestones lists for each of these which can be found by heading over to our daily events schedule and clicking the link to any of the events.
• Quick Wins - While the dig event is running, you can get some more pickaxes every day from Quick Wins, there are not so many to be won via this method, but being consistent and grabbing all of the free pickaxes from Quick Wins every day does add up to a decent stack and could mean the difference between completing the event or not.
• Eight Hourly Free Shop Gift - Remember to collect your free shop gift every eight hours. While the dig event is running, the gift pack will also include some free pickaxes.
• Free pickaxe links - From time to time these pop up, and if any do, we'll add them to our free dice links page.

Use these pickaxes to dig for treasure in the event, uncover everything in a level to win the reward and move onto the next one.

How many Pickaxes will I need to Finish Cash Treasures?

You may be able to complete this event if you collect around 100 or so pickaxes from the banner event and tournament, then with the additional pickaxes that you can collect from this event itself and of course Quick Wins and the eight hourly shop gift, it should be enough.

Are there any Cash Treasures pickaxe links?

Normally, there are no free pickaxe links. If we spot any however, you'll be able to find them on our free dice links page, which is a page we update every day with the latest free dice links to get you some extra free rolls in the game. These links are distributed by Scopely, and all are tested by us before we publish them on our website to make sure that they work and are legitimate links.

Cash Treasures event tips and strategy

We've been playing all of the similar digging events in Monopoly such as Moonlight Treasures and Galactic Treasures, so have had the time to work out the best ways to give you the best chance to complete this event, here's what we've got.

• Check the milestone lists of events and tournaments

  It's really important to check the milestones list of the solo milestone event and tournament that is running at the same time as Cash Treasures, you can do this by heading to our daily events schedule to get a link to the current events to view their rewards and milestones list. This allows you to work out how far you should go in each of the events before it starts to get too difficult for you to get pickaxes. Having a plan by looking at these rewards lists can be really helpful. Remember to check the start and end dates for these events because usually you can have two or three tournaments which last for one day each, and only one solo milestone event which may last two or three days, so you may want to plan to stagger progress in the solo event and spread over the two or three tournaments that run over that time.

• Don't waste your guesses

  Pay attention to the sizes of the items that you need to find in the game and only click on locations on the board that the remaining items will actually fit. Some boards, depending on the size of the obect to be found will just require one logical guess in order to pinpoint it's location.

• Use the Checkerboard technique

  If you are unsure where to start with your guesses, one suggestion is to use the checkerboard technique, so you leave a gap of one square between guesses, like a checkerboard. Some items that you need to find however are 1x1 so that technique won't work to find those!

• Things can be rotated

  Remember that the items that you need to find can be rotated horizontally or vertically.

• The moles will help

  The moles are great at helping you save some digs, there is no good way to find them, so just try to get lucky.
