.The first dig for treasures event in the new Bon Appetit season looks set to be a mega event. Starting at 1 PM ET on September 16th and running until 4 PM ET on September 21st, Candy Land Treasures on Monopoly GO is a whopping 40 levels of digging fun which is quite a lot more than the usual 20 or 25.
In this event there are loads of dice and sticker rewards to be won, and you don't have to complete the whole event to get the bulk of the rewards as there are loads of great treasures available as you work your way through the levels which includes the new Queen Frostine board token, thousands of dice and various sticker packs including the new Candy Land sticker pack which will grant you a sticker from the Candy Land set in the current album.
It looks like you'll get either a wild sticker or swap pack when you complete the event too as well as 2,000 dice rolls.
We break it all down in the rewards and milestones table below which lists all rewards that can be won on each level as well as the minimum number of pickaxes needed to complete each level.
This is definitely an event you want to be playing if you are trying to complete your album and win more dice rolls. Yes, there are 40 levels in this event, but there are tons of rewards throughout the whole event, so while you mayt not get enough pickaxes to complete the whole event, there is still plenty to be won. Personally, I'm super excited to see how this new style of dig event works out and to find out how far I can get during the five days of this event.
The Candy Land sticker pack basically gives you one sticker from the Candy Land collection of the current Bon Appetit album.

I’m aiming for around 80–90 pickaxes per day, split between the tournament and the banner event. This number doesn't include pickaxes from Quick Wins or shop gifts.
For the single-day tournament, I’m targeting level 20–23, which gives me 52–69 pickaxes. For the banner event, my goal is level 27–30, for 49–61 pickaxes.
On day one I just focus on my tournament progress, then on day two I shift to the banner event. Basically, whichever event ends first is the one I track milestones for. I’m not planning to go past milestone 30 in the banner event since the points really ramp up after that before more pickaxes show up.
I have one account with about 2,500 dice, my plan there is to use all of those up as quickly as possible, then keep using up the dice as they are refreshed to 400 for the duration of the dig event. Then with a couple of hours before the end of the dig event, I'll use up all of my pickaxes with the hope that I would have allotted more than 2,500 dice at the end of the event. Hopefully, I'll be lucky with some dice milestones that I can grab at the end of the event and leaderboard rewards too.
The following screenshots are of the level layouts for all the levels in Candy Land Treasures.
Look out for level 7. Tap two single hit tiles and the gophers will complete the level! There are also useful gophers on other levels too, especially level 15.
So far I have found the event to be very generous in terms of pickaxe rewards at milestones, and it's currently not as difficult as I initially thought it would be, in concolusion, I give this event a big thumbs up, and hopefully something like this makes a return soon on Monopoly Go.

As with any dig events, you'll need a tool, and whether this is pickaxes or laser guns, here are the best ways to get more!
Use these pickaxes to dig for treasure in the event, uncover everything in a level to win the reward and move onto the next one.
Complete level 32 to win this new board token.
It's difficult to say exaclty how many pickaxes will be needed to complete Candy Land Treasures as this is the first time a dig event of this size has been run on Monopoly Go. My guess will still be around 80-100 pickaxes per day are needed from the banner events and tournaments, so personally, I'm aiming for close to 400-500 pickaxes in total from the events. Plus the pickaxes that I will get from Quick Wins, the shop gifts and of course from winning more by completing dig event levels.
This is just a pre-event estimation, and I may well change my target once I start playing and after seeing the rewards and milestones lists for the banner event that runs at the same time.
In previous dig events, as a general rule of thumb, if you want to get enough pickaxes you'll generally need to go anywhere from between half way to two thirds of the way through all of the events and tournaments that run at the same time as this dig event.
It looks like the minimum number of pickaxes needed will be around 359, although I think this number may be a little low as it does not take into account finding gophers on the board that may clear part of the game board and also how many double hit tiles that you may need to break to find objects. So this is quite a rough number, and it is quite lower than my own estimation of needing around 450 or so pickaxes to complete this event.
Normally, there are no free pickaxe links. If we spot any however, you'll be able to find them on our free dice links page, which is a page we update every day with the latest free dice links to get you some extra free rolls in the game. These links are distributed by Scopely, and all are tested by us before we publish them on our website to make sure that they work and are legitimate links.
We've been playing all of the similar digging events in Monopoly such as Moonlight Treasures and Galactic Treasures, so have had the time to work out the best ways to give you the best chance to complete this event, here's what we've got.
It's really important to check the milestones list of the solo milestone event and tournament that is running at the same time as Candy Land Treasures, you can do this by heading to our daily events schedule to get a link to the current events to view their rewards and milestones list. This allows you to work out how far you should go in each of the events before it starts to get too difficult for you to get pickaxes. Having a plan by looking at these rewards lists can be really helpful. Remember to check the start and end dates for these events because usually you can have two or three tournaments which last for one day each, and only one solo milestone event which may last two or three days, so you may want to plan to stagger progress in the solo event and spread over the two or three tournaments that run over that time.
Pay attention to the sizes of the items that you need to find in the game and only click on locations on the board that the remaining items will actually fit. Some boards, depending on the size of the obect to be found will just require one logical guess in order to pinpoint it's location.
If you are unsure where to start with your guesses, one suggestion is to use the checkerboard technique, so you leave a gap of one square between guesses, like a checkerboard. Some items that you need to find however are 1x1 so that technique won't work to find those!
Remember that the items that you need to find can be rotated horizontally or vertically.
The moles are great at helping you save some digs, there is no good way to find them, so just try to get lucky.
