Valentines Partners has already been live for a couple of days, if you are struggling to get hearts, then please do check our guide on how to get more Valentines Partners hearts, everything we know about getting free hearts in the game is on that page.
Now read on here to find out all we know about this event, what it is, when it starts and finishes, how to play this event and more.
Valentines Partners is a five day event where to participate you have to partner up with four other players in order to bake four individual cakes. As you reach certain milestones of each build, and when you complete each cake you win rewards. Complete all four cakes to with the grand prize of the event which includes 5,000 dice, the Cupid event token, 900 minutes of Mega Heist and a five star purple pack .
Valentines Partners start at 7:30AM EST on February 9th, 2024 and runs for just over five days until 3PM on the 14th February.
Simply team up with other players, get heart tokens from the game, and use them to spin the event wheel to get points towards your cakes. If you want any of that in more detail, just read this section where we tell you everything you need to know about playing Valentines Partners on Monopoly Go.
First of all you need to add at least one partner. To do this tap one of the plus icons on the middle of the game board after the event has started. You will then see a list of people that have requested to add you as a partner and a list of suggested partners from your friends list. If there are any that you believe will be a great partner, add them. Otherwise head back to your friends list leaderboard and scan that for potential partners. Remember the in game names of any you would like to invite then go back to the green plus icon on the game board to sent our your invites.
Adding the right partners is really important, because if they don't pull their weight you may be left with too much to do yourself to complete a cake. Partners get the same reward for each cake, no matter the size of their contribution, and once a partner has been added, they cannot be changed, so do take your time selecting the best partners for yourself.
There are many forums and Discord groups that are really busy with lots of players, but do be wary, as people may not always be presenting themselves honestly. If a Discord has a reputation function, maybe check through the higher rep players there for some possible partners.
To get points for this event, you just need hearts, and a lot of them! When you have 20 hearts or more you can then spin the event wheel, by first tapping the event icon on the right of the screen after the event has started and then using your heart tokens by selecting the multiplier you want to use in order to get points for your cake. The higher the multiplier that you choose then, the more hearts you will use, but the potential points you gain per spin will be bigger.
The least risky option is to use a lower multiplier such as x3 (60 hearts) or x5 (100 hearts), or just set it to x1 (20 hearts) for more spin opportunities, buy less rewards per spin. Let's look next at how to get those hearts that you need in order to spin the wheel and get those cake points.
Look out for hearts being available on the game board, in Quick Wins, in the 8-hourly shop gift, in events and tournaments. There may also be heart links as we get further along in this event.
If you are looking for hears in tournaments and events, then wait until the new ones come out after the start of Valentines Partners as you won't find any in the ones that started running before this event starts.
As well as the usual milestone rewards that you unlock as you complete each of the four cakes, there is also the grand prize of 5,000 dice, the new Cupid event token, 900 Minutes of Mega Heist and a five star purple sticker pack which you can get if you complete all four cakes.
Here is a list of rewards and milestones for each individual cake. This list is based on data from the previous partners event and we will update it if anything is different.
Milestone for Individual Cake | Cumulative Points Total | Rewards |
---|---|---|
2,500 | 2,500 | 200 Free Dice Rolls |
6,000 | 8,500 | Cash |
13,000 | 21,500 | 250 Free Dice Rolls, Three Star Pink Sticker Pack and 15 Minute Sticker Boom |
26,500 | 48,000 | 400 Free Dice Rolls, Cash and 30 Minute High Roller |
32,000 | 80,000 | 500 Free Dice Rolls, Cash, Four Star Blue Sticker Pack and 20 Minute Cash Boost |
80,000 points will complete one cake, so if you want to complete all four then you'll need 320,000 points between you and your partners. Each partner can only contribute to one of your cakes.
Take note of the special boost in the rewards, so you can best utilize the Sticker Booms and High Rollers. So only try to claim those rewards when you know you want to use them, otherwise let them sit there until you are ready.
While it's good etiquette to try to aim for 50% or so points in each of your cakes, you may find that some partners do not contribute much, so be careful when selecting your partners.
Also note that it doesn't matter if you contribute zero points or all of them, you and your partner will get the same reward for completing a cake. You can't change your partners once you have selected them, and you can't take back an invite once you have sent one, so choose carefully.
If you have left over hearts at the end of the event, these are usually converted into some kind of reward. This changes from event to event, but usually you can expect some game money and dice.
We do hope to see some at some point in this event. If there are any you'll be able to find them on our Free dice links page.
