Fountain Partners Milestones, Rewards and How to Play

With the new Making Music season barely a week old, there is a new partner event to get excited about. Fountain Partners is scheduled to start at 8:30 AM ET on April 6th, and run for five days until 4 PM ET on April 11th, 2024.

In this guide, we tell you everything we know so far including what you can win, how many points you need, how to get more gold coins, the best ways on how to play a partners events on Monopoly Go and give some suggestions on how to find four partners to join you to build the four fountains that you will need to complete to win the final grand prize of 5,000 free dice rolls, a five star purple sticker pack and an exclusive event token.

Fountain Partners Milestones and Rewards

Let's get into it right away and tell you what's up for grabs in Fountain Partners. There two main ways to win rewards in any partner event on Monopoly Go, that is to work through the milestones of each individual build and to complete all four.

Here is a list of rewards and milestones for each individual Fountain.

Milestone for Individual Fountain Overall Points Total Rewards
2,5002,500200 Free Dice Rolls
6,0008,500Cash
13,00021,500200-300 Free Dice Rolls, Cash Boost Flash Event, and Cash
26,50048,000300-500 Free Dice Rolls, Pink Star Pink Sticker Pack, Cash, and High Roller Flash Event
32,00080,000400-600 Free Dice Rolls, Cash, Sticker Boom Flash Event, Four Star Blue Sticker Pack
Grand Prize

Complete all four fountains in Fountain Partners to get the Grand Prize:

  • Exclusive Clamshell Mr M Event Token
  • 5,000 Free Dice
  • Purple Five Star Sticker Pack

Mr M Clamshell Token

80,000 points will complete one fountain, so if you want to complete all four then you'll need 320,000 points between you and your partners. Each partner can only contribute to one of your fountains.

The rewards are a little different to the previous partner events because we are at a early stage in the current season. There is also a Sticker Boom in the rewards list, you just have to get to the end of each build to activate a 15 minute SB.

While it's good etiquette to try to aim for 50% or so points in each of your builds, you may find that some partners do not contribute much, so be careful when selecting your partners, and check our tips on how to find good partners in Monopoly Go.

Also note that it doesn't matter if you contribute zero points or all of them, you and your partner will get the same reward for completing a fountain. You can't change your partners once you have selected them, and you can't take back an invite once you have sent one, so choose carefully.

When does Fountain Partners End?

Fountain Partners starts at 8:30 AM on April 6th, 2024 and runs for just over five days until the 11th April, 2024 at 5PM ET.

How to Play Fountain Partners

Simply team up with other players, get event tokens from the game, and use them to spin the event wheel to get points towards your cars. If you want any of that in more detail, just read this section where we tell you everything you need to know about playing Fountain Partners on Monopoly Go.

How to Find and Add Partners

You can start to add partners as soon as this event actually starts. First of all you need to add at least one partner. To do this tap one of the plus icons on the middle of the game board after the event has started. You will then see a list of people that have requested to add you as a partner and a list of suggested partners from your friends list. If there are any that you believe will be a great partner, add them. Otherwise head back to your friends list leaderboard and scan that for potential partners. Remember the in game names of any you would like to invite then go back to the green plus icon on the game board to sent our your invites.

Adding the right partners is really important, because if they don't pull their weight you may be left with too much to do yourself to complete a fountain. Partners get the same reward for each fountain, no matter the size of their contribution, and once a partner has been added, they cannot be changed, so do take your time selecting the best partners for yourself.

There are many forums and Discord groups that are really busy with lots of players, but do be wary, as people may not always be presenting themselves honestly. If a Discord has a reputation function, maybe check through the higher rep players there for some possible partners.

Our friends over at AppGamer, have a great Monopoly Go forum with a lot of dedicated players and would be a great place to start looking for partners.

How to get Points in Fountain Partners

To get points for this event, you just need the event token, and a lot of them! When you have 20 event tokens or more you can then spin the event wheel, by first tapping the event icon on the right of the screen after the event has started and then using your tokens by selecting the multiplier you want to use in order to get points for your fountain. The higher the multiplier that you choose then, the more tokens you will use, but the potential points you gain per spin will be bigger.

The least risky option is to use a lower multiplier such as x3 (60 tokens) or x5 (100 tokens), or just set it to x1 (20 tokens) for more spin opportunities, but less rewards per spin. Let's look next at how to get those event tokens that you need in order to spin the wheel and get those fountain points.

How to get more Gold Coins in Fountain Partners

Look out for the event token, in this case, gold coins, being available on the game board, in Quick Wins, in the 8-hourly shop gift, in events and tournaments. There may also be gold coin links as we get further along in this event, although we've not seen event token links in the previous couple of partner events on Monopoly Go - that won't stop us looking for them though.

  • Quick Wins - These refresh usually around 7am ET. There are three easy to complete challenges and when a Partners event is active, usually give you event tokens as part of your rewards. Completing Quick Wins daily also helps you complete the weekly Quick Wins bar which currently is a five star purple sticker pack. But do check the Win tab for information for the current week, and try not to miss a day if you want that big weekly prize, I think you can get away with missing one task out of the whole week, maybe two, but with a purple pack on the line, it's best to try to complete them all.
  • 8-Hourly Shop Gift - Every eight hours you can find a new free gift in the shop. Tap the shop icon and slide the top panel to the right about five times until you get to the end. Here you should either find a free gift, that may include gold coins when the Partners event is active, or give you a countdown timer telling you when your gift will be ready.
  • Events and Tournaments - If you check today's event schedule you'll be able to find links to the current main event and tournament that is running at the same time as Fountain Partners. If you visit those pages you'll be able to see rewards and milestones lists that will tell you how many event items are available and how many points you need to get in the event or tournament to get them. Events and Tournaments are usually a great place to get hundreds or sometimes thousands of event items so the rewards lists are well worth a look.

If you are looking for gold coins in tournaments and events, then wait until the new ones come out after the start of Fountain Partners as you won't find any in the ones that started running before this event starts.

  • On the Game Board - You'll be able to find gold coins on various tiles scattered around the game board land on those to get tokens to use in Fountain Partners
  • Gold Coin Event Token Links - Look out for these later in the event. We'll be keeping a look out for any that appear to share with our visitors. Sometimes event token links are distributed, and sometimes they are not.
  • From Your Partners - If your partners spin the wheel and land on the partner segment, then you could be in receipt of some free tokens! Go to your friends tab and click on timeline to check for any.

Completed Fountain Partners? What happens to Spare Tokens

If you have left over tokens at the end of the event, these are usually converted into some kind of reward. This changes from event to event, but usually you can expect some game money and dice.

Will there be any Free Token Links

We do hope to see some at some point in this event. If there are any you'll be able to find them on our Free dice links page.
