Veggie Treasures and How to get more Pickaxes

Starting at 1 PM ET on October 1st and running until 4 PM ET on October 5th 2025, Veggie Treasures on Monopoly GO is a 20 level dig event where there are a total of 4,750 dice to be won as well as a new shield skin, blue sticker pack and wild sticker. Dig events are a great opportunity to end up with more dice than you started with, as long as you play the main events where you get the pickaxes carefully.

Pay attention to where there milestones are that give you pickaxes and also, remember that you may want to push harder in one of the leaderboard tournaments during the dig event in order to secure one of the top spots to gain a big heap of dice from the final leaderboard rewards which will help you come out of the four days of this event with more dice than you started with plus some stickers.

We break it all down in the rewards and milestones table below which lists all rewards that can be won on each level as well as the minimum number of pickaxes needed to complete each level.

Veggie Treasures Rewards Summary

This is definitely an event you want to be playing if you are trying to complete your album and win more dice rolls. Here is a summary of some of the reward highlights in this event.

  • Shield: Veggie Treasures Shield Skin (level 18)

What milestones I'll be targeting in each of the banner events and tournaments

While the minimum number of digs required is 232, this doesn't take account of gophers that may assist you and also the need to hit some tiles twice. So this is not a completely accurate number.

My own expectations will be that I'll need somewhere in the region of 250-275 pickaxes in total to complete this event.

From the banner event, Kitchen Wonders, that runs from October 1st at 1 PM ET until October 3rd at 1 PM ET, I'll be aiming to reach milestone 27 or 30, this will get me either 49 or 61 pickaxes over the two days of this event.

The the one day leaderboard events, my aim will be to get milestone 14 to get 33 pickaxes. However, if the competition is not strong for the top spaces, I'll be aiming to get the milestone 20 to bag 55 pickaxes and hopefully the rewards for a top leaderboard place too. On October 2nd however there is a two day tournament so in total, there will only be three tournaments held for the duration of this dig event.

There will also be another banner event from 1 PM ET on October 3rd which will cover the final two days of the event. I expect the rewards list will be the same or similar, so will likely be aiming for the same milestone, or as many as I need to complete the dig event.

On day one I just focus on my tournament progress, then on day two I shift to the banner event. Basically, whichever event ends first is the one I track milestones for.

How to get more pickaxes for Veggie Treasures

As with any dig events, you'll need a tool, and whether this is pickaxes or laser guns, here are the best ways to get more!

  • Banner Events and Tournaments - The events that run at the same time as Candy Land treasures will be where you can accumulate the majority of your pickaxes. Find out at which milestones they are located for each event by heading to our daily events schedule, and clicking through to the current active and forthcoming individual banner event and tournament pages where we list all of the rewards and milestones.
  • Quick Wins - While the dig event is running, you can get some more pickaxes every day from Quick Wins, there are not so many to be won via this method, but being consistent and grabbing all of the free pickaxes from Quick Wins every day does add up to a decent stack and could mean the difference between completing the event or not.
  • Eight Hourly Free Shop Gift - Remember to collect your free shop gift every eight hours. While the dig event is running, the gift pack will also include some free pickaxes.
  • In the dig event - Some levels in this dig event also give you free pickaxes, see the rewards table above for full details.
  • Free pickaxe links - From time to time these pop up, and if any do, we'll add them to our free dice links page.

Use these pickaxes to dig for treasure in the event, uncover everything in a level to win the reward and move onto the next one.

How many pickaxes will I need to Finish Veggie Treasures?

It's difficult to say exaclty how many pickaxes will be needed to complete Veggie Treasures but based on previous events of the same size as knowing the minimum number of pickaxes needed, my estimate is that I'll need somewhere in the region of 250-275 pickaxes to complete this event.

What is the minimum number of pickaxes needed to complete this event?

It looks like the minimum number of pickaxes needed will be around 232, although I think this number may be a little low as it does not take into account finding gophers on the board that may clear part of the game board and also how many double hit tiles that you may need to break to find objects. So this is quite a rough number.

Normally, there are no free pickaxe links. If we spot any however, you'll be able to find them on our free dice links page, which is a page we update every day with the latest free dice links to get you some extra free rolls in the game. These links are distributed by Scopely, and all are tested by us before we publish them on our website to make sure that they work and are legitimate links.

Veggie Treasures event tips and strategy

We've been playing all of the similar digging events in Monopoly such as Moonlight Treasures and Galactic Treasures, so have had the time to work out the best ways to give you the best chance to complete this event, here's what we've got.

  • Check the milestone lists of events and tournaments

It's really important to check the milestones list of the solo milestone event and tournament that is running at the same time as Veggie Treasures, you can do this by heading to our daily events schedule to get a link to the current events to view their rewards and milestones list. This allows you to work out how far you should go in each of the events before it starts to get too difficult for you to get pickaxes. Having a plan by looking at these rewards lists can be really helpful. Remember to check the start and end dates for these events because usually you can have two or three tournaments which last for one day each, and only one solo milestone event which may last two or three days, so you may want to plan to stagger progress in the solo event and spread over the two or three tournaments that run over that time.

  • Don't waste your guesses

Pay attention to the sizes of the items that you need to find in the game and only click on locations on the board that the remaining items will actually fit. Some boards, depending on the size of the obect to be found will just require one logical guess in order to pinpoint it's location.

  • Use the Checkerboard technique

If you are unsure where to start with your guesses, one suggestion is to use the checkerboard technique, so you leave a gap of one square between guesses, like a checkerboard. Some items that you need to find however are 1x1 so that technique won't work to find those!

  • Things can be rotated

Remember that the items that you need to find can be rotated horizontally or vertically.

  • The moles will help

The moles are great at helping you save some digs, there is no good way to find them, so just try to get lucky.
