Because there is also a partner event running, I thought it may be a good idea to let you know how I'll be playing this event in order to get the most power packs for Robo Partners without wasting dice. My target for this event is milestone 31, if I get lucky in the event, maybe I'll try something higher, but the important thing to remember is don't aim for for your target on the first day of a multi day event like Scrap Yard Riches is. Instead look at the tournament, Circuit Champs, which also starts on May 16th and select which milestone you want to achieve in that event, for me it's probably milestone 16.
So on day one of Scrap Yard Riches, I won't event worry where I am, I'll just focus on getting to my chosen tournament milestone. Then on day two, another tournament will start with a fresh set of rewards and then is when I'll return to the game to try to complete the milestones I want to get to in this event, while scoring points in a new tournament.
If the new tournament lasts for one day, then I'll be focusing on trying to achieve the milestone I want in both this event and the new tournament, but if it is a two day tournament, then again, I won't worry where I am after day one, but just look to getting to my chosen milestone in this event, before stopping then restarting again when the next banner event starts on May 18th in order to complete any outstanding milestones in day two of a two day tournament.
This main event uses the corner squares point scoring system. For this event you can only score points by landing on any of the corner squares. Each one will give you four points multiplied by the dice multiplier that you used for that throw.
The problem with a corner squares event is that they are all spread out so evenly, so you can only really target one square for to get points each throw. However you should also consider railroads, chance and shield tiles as tiles that are also good ones to land on. Railroads, because you'll still score in the tournament that is running at the same time. Chance, because you have the chance of getting transported to a railroad and shield because you'll get all your dice rolls back (as long as you have full shields).
Not all of the corner squares are equal though, Just Visiting and GO do nothing, but Free Parking can give you some free dice when the Free Parking Dice event is also running, and Go to Jail gives you a chance of free dice if you land on it and throw a double within the three tries that the game gives you.
A lot of players do aim for Go to Jail and try to land there with a high multiplier. Once you land on Go to Jail, the chances of throwing a double are actually quite high at about 42%.
Watch out for getting tempted to use too many dice at the same time, it can work out well a lot of the times, but sometimes it doesn't and you end up losing a load of dice! Pay attention also to the points needed for milestones, particularly the gap between free roll milestones as that is the next opportunity to win more dice and keep rolling.
However, there is also Robo Partners running at the same time as this event and there is always a tournament running too (see our daily events schedule for details) and both of these give more pointopportunities to land on tiles that will get you something for one of the three events that are running at the same time.
