Fantastic Treasures rewards and milestones

The first dig event of the new Monopoly Go Summer Escape season is Fantastic Treasures. Scheduled to start at 1 PM ET on June 16th and run for four days until 4 PM ET on June 20th, 2025.

Dig events are always ones to get excited about on Monopoly Go, so having a dig event early in the season is something I am particularly pleased about and looking forward to playing. On offer throughout the 20 levels of in this event is a cool Mr Fantastic board token, a swap pack, blue and yellow sticker packs, and up to 5,250 dice rolls throughout the event.

This time around you'll be needing to collect pickaxes in order to dig for treasure in this event to uncover the artifacts on each level, collect the rewards and make progress to the next milestone.

How many pickaxes will I need to finish Fantastic Treasures?

In 20 level dig events you usually need to aim for around 350 pickaxes to complete the whole event. Although luck does play a part in the final amount as well as changes in each of the events. I usually aim to colelct about 80-90 pickaxes for each day or the four days of a 20 level dig event.

How can I get more pickaxes for Fantastic Treasures?

There are various ways to easily get pickaxes in Fantastic Treasures, here is a complete rundown.

  1. Solo Milestone Events

There are the events that you see advertised in the game in the top center of the screen. You can find out which solo milestone event is currently running and get a complete rewards list for it by heading over to our daily events schedule and finding a link to the solo milestone event. Usually, the solo milestone event is the single BEST way to get the bulk of the pickaxes that you need to complete this Fantastic Treasures.

  2. Tournaments

Tournaments are listed on the right of the game screen, these are the events that you have to play either Shutdown or Bank Heist when you land on a Railroad. These tournaments also have milestones, and when digging events such as Fantastic Treasures are running you'll be able get some pickaxes within the milestone rewards for the tournament. You'll be able to find details of today's tournament plus a link to the milestone rewards where you can see how far you need to play the tournament to get more pickaxes over on our daily events schedule. Tournaments are the second best way to get pickaxes in Monopoly Go

  3. Quick Wins

You can access Quick Wins via the 'WIN' tab at the bottom of the game screen, while there are special events running, you will usually get the event item as rewards in Quick Wins. You don't get as many as you do with sole milestone events and tournaments, but you can get a useful amount of pickaxes from Quick Wins, especially if you complete all three of them every day of Fantastic Treasures.

  4. Shop gift

Every eight hours you can collect a free gift from the shop. You can normally find this by going to the shop in the game and then swiping the top block to the left about five times until you get to the end. There will either be a free gift waiting for you which will normally include pickaxes while digging events are running, or a timer telling you when to come back to collect your free gift.

  5. By completing Fantastic Treasures levels

Some of the levels include free pickaxes as part of the rewards, look out for these in the rewards and milestones list in the table above,

Those are the only five ways to get free pickaxes in Monopoly Go in order from top to bottom.

Normally, there are no free blaster links. If we spot any however, you'll be able to find them on our free dice links page, which is a page we update every day with the latest free dice links to get you some extra free rolls in the game. These links are distributed by Scopely, and all are tested by us before we publish them on our website to make sure that they work and are legitimate links.

Fantastic Treasures Event Tips

We've been playing all the similar dig events in Monopoly Go, such as Tatooine Treasures and Tusken Treasures, so we've had time to figure out the best ways to give you the highest chance of completing this event. Here's what we've learned:

  • Check the milestone lists for the solo event and tournaments

Always review the milestone lists for the solo milestone event and the tournament running alongside Fantastic Treasures. Head to our daily events schedule for links to the current events, their rewards, and milestone tiers. Knowing how steep each tier gets helps you decide when to push and when to save pickaxes. Note the start and end times: you'll usually see two or three one-day tournaments and one solo milestone event lasting two or three days. Pace your progress in the solo event so it stretches across the tournaments.

  • Don't waste your guesses

Check the size of each remaining item and click only on squares where it can actually fit.

  • Use the checkerboard technique

If you're stuck as to where to place your pickaxes, try the checkerboard method and leave one square between digs, like a chessboard. Keep in mind that 1x1 items won't be found this way, so adjust as needed.

  • Remember items can be rotated

Artifacts can appear horizontally or vertically, so bear that in mind when deciding where they might fit.

What happens to my pickaxes after the Fantastic Treasures ends?

In dig events such as Fantastic Treasures, if you have any leftover pickaxes these are usually converted to dice and given back to you. You can't rollover extra pickaxes to the next dig event. Also once you have completed the final level of this event, you can no longer collect more pickaxes. And any pickaxes rewards left to collect through solo events and tournaments would usually become cash rewards instead.

This is why some people wait until just before the end of a dig event to finish the final level. However there is always a risk that you forget to complete it and lose out on that final big prize!
