What is NERO?

NERO is a government division that’s heavily involved in responding to the outbreak that decimated the population. You’ll have several run-ins with them as part of the story. You can also find abandoned NERO checkpoints and Research sites that’s worth checking out since they’re the only Locations where you can find Injectors - powerful enhancements that will permanently increase Deacon’s health, stamina, or focus. Furthermore, once cleared, you can use these sites as refueling points, sleeping points, and locations to access your gun locker.
