White areas are automatically revealed whenever you reach it on foot or Motorcycle. You can also clear Ambush Camps then checking the maps inside their respective Bunkers to reveal the immediate area’s points of interest such as NERO checkpoints, historical markers, Infestation zones, etc. Liberated ambush camps also become convenient Fast-Travel points where you can also sleep and access your gun locker.
