Days Gone is a third-person, zombie-Survival game. You’ll control Deacon St. John, a biker-turned-drifter, living on his own rules in the post-apocalyptic lands of Oregon. Since Deacon’s a former biker, his Motorcycle will play a major role as a mode of transportation and tool for survival. That said, your transportation option will always include Fuel consumption as a factor.
Freakers are heavily infected and mutated humans, turned into mindlessly dangerous, nocturnal creatures. They react heavily to sounds, have considerable line of sight, and become more resilient and active during evenings and cold weather. They don’t even hesitate resorting into cannibalism as a means of sustenance. These are the common threats you’ll have to deal with all throughout the game. You’ll also have to defend yourself against predatory animals (normal or infected ones), as well as the worst human beings left alive such as cultists and murderous robbers.
Combat can be active and intense but careful planning, use of stealth, and knowing when to fight or flight is essential for surviving. Collecting crafting materials is an absolute must to be able to create your own healing items, fix your melee Weapons, Repair your Bike, and more.
The land can be unforgiving and dangerous but thankfully, there are safe zones like encampments where you can rest, Refuel, buy goods, etc. Earning the trust of the survivors living in these settlements will also be vital to your Survival.
The game can be challenging for first-time players but worry not, we will try our best in providing the necessary information to help you conquer and survive the Freaker-Infested lands of Oregon.
