Days Gone Walkthrough and Guide

How to Recover Your Bike

Your motorcycle is your lifeline and primary means of transport. It also serves as an important plot device. You’ll need to use it to reach and explore new areas. After you discover safe Locations like encampments or after clearing hostile sites like NERO Checkpoints or Ambush Camps, you’ll still need your motorcycle nearby to be able to Fast-Travel. With the help of a specific upgrade, you can even make your bike as an Ammo Resupply point.

Your bike’s icon is always visible in your Mini-map/ Radar or in the main Map. If ever for some reason you can’t reach your bike due to elevation, glitches, or if it gets stuck somewhere, you can recover it by accessing your map, hover the pointer over your bike, then select Recover Bike. This can only be done if your bike is near where you’re standing (basically within visible range). If you recover your bike, it will not get transported to your exact spot but on the road or trail nearest to you.

You can recover your bike to any encampment for a fee. If you can't bring your bike and there's an encampment nearby, head there instead and interact with the Mechanic. You'll get a prompt below which allows you to conveniently recover your bike for a meager fee.
