How do I learn more skills?

You’ll need to Earn XP to gain a Skill Point. You can then use this skill point to learn a new skill from any of the three skill categories in the game. (Melee, Ranged, Survival) You can earn XP by killing hostile creatures, completing missions, clearing checkpoints, enemy camps, etc.

You can see your progress (percentage and actual value) to the next skill up by accessing the Skills menu. Once you have a skill point ready, you’ll also get a notification.

There are three skill trees in the game, each with 15 individual skills. You’ll have access to Tier 1 skills by default. The higher tiers will be unlocked as you learn 2, 4, 6, and 8 additional skills per skill tree. Since earning EXP may take a while, choosing which skills to prioritize will matter especially early in the game. For our recommendations, please refer to the individual Skills section of this Guide.
