The Secret of Cabot House

Shortly after completing the quest “Emogene Takes a Lover”, back in the Cabot House, you’ll find Jack talking to Edward who in the Asylum over the radio. After that, he’ll talk to you. Tell him that you found Emogene to complete the quest and start this quest. You can ask questions and learn more about the serum and why the Asylum is frequently attacked by raiders.

Head outside the house and head over to the Asylum. Enter it with Jack. Once inside, follow Jack and clear the raiders you meet along the way. Head to the second floor and continue following him until you reach Edward’s location. In the same room where you found the wounded Edward, you’ll also find the Charisma Bobblehead on the table beside the terminal. Pick it up then talk to Jack to update your objective.

Follow him out then unchain the double door leading back to the lobby. Open the middle door this time and take out the raiders. Use the stairs to the scaffolding and enter the next room. Now enter the blue door to reach the next area. Head to the kitchen area and clear it of raiders. Continue down the broken floor and clear the raiders in the next area. Head east this time and enter the Hole in the Wall to reach the lower level.

Check out the individual containment cells here to find more loot. In the office of the corridor, there’s an office with a Syringer Rifle. Drop down from the broken restroom floor then go around to the next corridor. The small room by the utility elevator has an Advanced Floor safe. Next, join Jack to take the elevator further down.

Work your way around the opened doors and clear the containment cell of raiders. Once done, you’ll have the option to either free or kill Lorenzo Cabot. If you opened the containment cell, you’ll free Lorenzo. Otherwise, turn on the four field generators to flood the containment cell with zeta radiation. Once Lorenzo is killed, open the containment cell and get the issue of the Massachusetts Surgical Journal inside.

If you let Lorenzo free, he’ll ask for your help to kill his family. You'll have to kill Jack, and his mother back in Cabot House. Your reward for doing this is a weekly supply of the Mysterious Serum directly from Lorezo. Otherwise, talk to Jack to receive your reward and complete the quest. He’ll also ask you to return to him after a week for you to receive the unique gamma gun, Lorenzo’s Artifact Gun from Jack. You’ll get a notification once this is available.
