Spectacle Island

This island is the largest workshop area you can build on with the biggest farmland space and Water access. The woodlands provide the best source of Wood from any given settlement, with good access to Steel by scrapping the metal crates from the nearby beached cargo ship with several intact container vans.

Fortunately, you can still send settlers here and even call in caravans by building trade caravan posts. The workshop workbench is located in the middle of the island, quite a distance away from the main buildings in the island. The garage in the island has a Power armor station and chem station.

Further SW, you’ll find a workshop bench with a signal tower. There are some instructions inside as well. Don’t turn on the circuit breaker yet. Follow the Power line outside as it leads you to a green boat. Before turning the generator on, make sure to pick up the Fat-Man nearby. After turning on the power, a Mirelurk Queen and a couple of mirelurks will appear. Destroy them all then head back to the signal tower. Power it up and the whole island will be your entire workshop. The signal tower requires 20 power alone to function.

On the upper cabin of the green boat, you’ll find the green steamer trunk and the Luck Bobblehead in the locker.

The island has the largest available Water source and woodland that you can use. However, fortifying the entire island with defenses is near impossible. Stick with establishing your community near the pre-built structures for convenience.

The shipping containers in the NE of the island provides a large supply of Steel. One of the upper shipping containers have a pile of safes but only a few of them are functional.
