In one of the open footlockers in the crew quarters, there's a fusion core. There are also scattered ammo boxes here that may contain random ammo.

In the lowest level of the sub, there's a weapon workbench in one of the rooms there. In the next room, there's a Master terminal, protecting the security door with various ammo and loot.

If you continue to the weapons bay, you can scavenge a Warhead (quest item) from one of the ICBMs there. There's a glowing one First Mate ghoul with a password. Don't forget to get the Submariner Hat as well. Head to the next room to find the reactor. There will be more ghouls waiting inside.

After clearing the room and opening the doors, you'll be back where you started.
