Agility Training

Agility determines your max AP and your ability to sneak effectively. More AP means more action in VATS so this is an important attribute if you'll be having a character heavily relying in VATS.

Gunslinger

This perk augments the Power and effectiveness of non-automatic pistols. So far, these include 10mm Pistol, .44 pistol, Plasma Pistol, Laser Pistol, Pipe Pistol, Pipe Revolver, and Pipe Bolt-Action Pistol

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 1 Non-automatic pistols deal 20% more damage
2 AGI 1, LV7 Non-automatic pistols deal 40% more damage and increased range
3 AGI 1, LV15 Non-automatic pistols deal 60% more damage and greater range
4 AGI 1, LV27 Non-automatic pistols deal 80% more damage and can disarm opponents
5 AGI 1, LV42 Non-automatic pistols deal 100% more damage and greater chances to disarm opponents while also occasionally crippling them.

Commando

This perk increases the effectiveness of automatic weapons such as the ones listed below. Take note however that automatic heavy weapons.

  • 10mm Auto pistol
  • Automatic Assault Rifle
  • Automatic Combat rifle
  • Automatic Combat shotgun
  • Automatic Pipe rifle
  • Pipe Auto Pistol
  • Pipe submachine gun
  • Submachine gun

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 2 Automatic weapons deal 20% more damage
2 AGI 2, LV11 Automatic weapons deal 40% more damage and has improved hip-fire accuracy
3 AGI 2, LV21 Automatic weapons deal 60% more damage with even greater hip-fire accuracy
4 AGI 2, LV35 Automatic weapons deal 80% more damage with a chance to stagger enemies
5 AGI 2, LV49 Automatic weapons deal 100% more damage with an even greater chance to stagger enemies

Sneak

This perk makes you harder to detect with some added bonuses like the ability to walk over traps or mines without triggering them. Take note that your companions also benefit from this so no more accidental triggering when you're trying to be sneaky. (Dogmeat is super guilty of this)

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 3 You're 20% harder to detect while sneaking
2 AGI 3, LV5 You're 30% harder to detect while sneaking and no longer trigger floor-based traps. (The secondary effect will still take effect even when you're not sneaking)
3 AGI 3, LV12 You're 40% harder to detect while sneaking and no longer trigger mines. (The secondary effect will still take effect even when you're not sneaking)
4 AGI 3, LV23 You're 50% harder to detect while sneaking and running doesn't give away your position
5 AGI 3, LV38 When activating stealth, distant enemies will lose track of you.

Mister Sandman

This perk allows you to instantly kill any sleeping person. Take note however of the perk's bonus to "silenced" weapons. This only applies specifically on weapons with the Silencer mod installed. Melee or energy weapons don't have this so they're not affected by this bonus. Furthermore, having the Ninja Perk can further increase the damage on top of the boost provided by this perk.

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI4 Instantly kill a sleeping person. Silenced weapons deal 15% more sneak attack damage
2 AGI 4, LV17 Silenced weapons deal 30% more sneak attack damage
3 AGI 4, LV30 Silenced weapons deal 50% more sneak attack damage

Action Boy/Girl

This perk improves your AP regeneration.

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 5 AP regenerate 25% faster
2 AGI 5, LV18 AP regenerate 50% faster

Moving Target

You gain increased damage and energy resistance when moving.

2 AGI 6, LV24 Damage resistance +50, Energy Resistance +50
3 AGI 6, LV44 Sprinting costs 50% less AP

Ninja

This perk is best suited for stealthy character builds who likes to sneak behind enemies or sniping them safely from a distance. Sneak attack damage is further increased, and deal even more damage for sneak melee attacks.

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 7 Ranged sneak attack deal 2.5x damage, Melee sneak attack deal x4 damage
2 AGI 7, LV16 Ranged sneak attack deal 3x damage, Melee sneak attack deal x5 damage
3 AGI 7, LV33 Ranged sneak attack deal 3.5x damage, Melee sneak attack deal x10 damage

Quick Hands

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 8 Reload any gun faster
2 AGI 8, LV28 Reloading guns while in VATS doesn't consume AP

Blitz

This perk allows you close the distance to your target immediately while in VATS melee and even increases your damage, the farther you are to the target.

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 9 VATS melee distance is increased significantly
2 AGI 9, LV29 Even greater VATS melee distance. The farther the Blitz distance, the greater the damage

Gun-Fu

This perk relies heavily in engaging multiple targets in VATS so invest skill points on this perk only if you're a heavy VATS user.

Rank Req Effect
1 AGI 10 Deal 25% more damage to your second target in VATS and beyond
2 AGI 10, LV26 Deal 50% more damage to your third target in VATS and beyond
3 AGI 10, LV50 Deal critical damage to your fourth target in VATS and beyond
