Strength Training


Strength is the measure of your character's raw physical Power. This directly affects how much you can carry at a time and also affects the damage dished by melee attacks. Invest skill points on this perk if you want to unlock more perks in the same tree or to access higher ranks of your unlocked strength-related perks.

Iron Fist


Channel your chi to unleash devastating fury! This perk is useful for pugilists or players who want to get up close and personal and let their fists do the talking. This is also a good starting skill for aspiring One Punch Man builds.

Rank Req Effect
1 STR 1 Punching attacks deal 20% more damage
2 LV9, STR 1 Punching attacks deal 40% more damage and chance to disarm opponents
3 LV18, STR 1 Punching attacks deal 60% more damage. Unarmed Power attacks has a chance to cripple your opponent's limbs
4 LV31, STR 1 Punching attacks deal 80% more damage. Unarmed Power attacks has a higher chance to cripple your opponent's limbs
5 LV46, STR 1 Punching attacks deal double damage. Criticals in VATS will paralyze your opponent

Big Leagues


Swing for the fences! This perk increases the damage you can deal with melee weapons, ranging from blades to bludgeons.

Rank Req Effect
1 STR 2 Increases melee weapon damage by 20%
2 LV7, STR2 Increases melee weapon damage by 40% and chance to disarm an opponent
3 LV15, STR 2 Increases melee weapon damage by 60% with increased chance to disarm an opponent
4 LV27, STR 2 Increases melee weapon damage by 60% and hits all targets in front of you
5 LV42, STR 2 Melee attacks deal double damage with a chance to cripple your opponent or chop their head off.

Armorer


This perk allows you to use the Armor Workbenches to enhance the armors you'll find in the wasteland using crafting components for better protection. This perk also allows you to enhance some of your settlement objects and the ability to create your very own Power Armor station in any of your workshops.

1 STR3 Gain access to LV1 armor mods
2 LV13, STR3 Gain access to LV2 armor mods
3 LV25, STR3 Gain access to LV3 armor mods
4 LV39, STR3 Gain access to LV4 armor mods

Blacksmith


This perk allows you to modify and enhance melee weapons using any weapons workbench you'll find the wasteland.

Rank Req Effect
1 STR4 Access to LV1 melee weapon mods
2 LV16, STR4 Access to LV2 melee weapon mods
3 LV29, STR4 Access to LV3 melee weapon mods

Heavy Gunner


This perk increases heavy gun damage by 20%. Some examples of heavy guns are mini-guns, flamer, and fat-man nuke launcher.

Rank Req Effect
1 STR 5 Heavy guns deal 20% more damage
2 LV11, STR 5 Heavy guns deal 40% more damage and improved hip-fire accuracy
3 LV21, STR 5 Heavy guns deal 60% more damage and even more improved hip-fire accuracy
4 LV35, STR 5 Heavy guns deal 80% more damage and has a chance to stagger your opponent
5 LV47, STR 5 Heavy guns deal double damage

Strong Back


This perk increases your weight carrying capacity. This means you'll be able to carry heavy weapons while having enough room for loot.

Rank Req Effect
1 STR 6 Gain +25 weight capacity
2 LV10, STR 6 Gain +50 weight capacity
3 LV20, STR 6 When overburdened, you can run by spending AP
4 LV30, STR 6 You can still fast-travel even when overburdened

Steady Aim


This perk improves the hip-fire accuracy when firing any gun. Hip-fire is just firing your weapon as is, without entering VATS or looking through your weapons' sights. This might be useful for heavy weapons like mini-guns and flamers.

1 STR 7 Improved hip-fire accuracy when firing any gun
2 LV28, STR 7 Even more improved hip-fire accuracy when firing any gun

Basher


Rank Req Effect
1 STR 8 Increases gun bash damage by 25%
2 LV5, STR 8 Increases gun bash damage by 50% with a chance to cripple your opponent
3 LV14, STR 8 Increases gun bash damage by 75% with an increased chance of crippling your opponent
4 LV26, STR 8 Gun bashing deals double damage, has a chance to land a critical hit, and even more increased chances of crippling your opponent.

Rooted


This perk increases your damage resistance and melee or unarmed damage when you're standing this. This is perfect for sneak kills or just the good ol' trading blows.

Rank Req Effect
1 STR 9 When standing still, you'll gain +25 Damage Resistance and +25% damage with your melee and unarmed attacks
2 LV22, STR 9 When standing still, you'll gain +50 Damage Resistance and +50% damage with your melee and unarmed attacks
3 LV43, STR 9 While standing still, enemies using melee weapons against you will be automatically disarmed.

Pain Train


This perk turns your Power Armor into a weapon. While inside a Power Armor, sprinting towards an enemy will damage and stagger them.

Rank Req Effect
1 STR 10 When inside a Power Armor, sprinting into enemies will damage and stagger them. (robots and large enemies can't be staggered)
2 LV24, STR 10 When inside a Power Armor, sprinting into enemies will even more damage and stagger them. (robots and large enemies can't be staggered)
3 LV50 STR 10 When inside a Power Armor, sprinting into enemies will massive damage and will knock them down. The shockwave from an impact landing will inflict heavy damage to nearby enemies.
