Upon reaching Hunter’s Gathering for the first time, you’ll find Lubavad trying to find help to deliver the explosive arrows for his caravan that left to trade with the Banuk. After agreeing to help his caravan, he’ll give you the explosive arrows due you won’t be able to use these yourself.
Activate the quest to learn the caravan’s current position, near the campfire southeast of the Sigma Cauldron. You should find them along the main road. Talk to the caravan leader Marzavid to update your objective. During the conversation, watchers and longlegs will attack. This could be your first encounter with a Longleg so use your Focus to scan it. The best way to deal with this land-bird machine is by shooting the sac on its chest. If you have the Concentration skill, full-drawn precision arrows will remove this component, causing a powerful air explosion that damages nearby machines as well. If not, Blast Wires can be used to kill them quickly.
After clearing the first wave, a second wave of scrappers will arrive. These small machines can be pretty aggressive and attack as a pack but they can be easily knocked down with a heavy spear attack. If you have the Critical Strike skill, then you can immediately follow up with a devastating critical hit, usually enough to destroy smaller machines like the scrapper immediately. Take out all machines then loot their carcasses. Talk to Marzavid once again to update your objective.
Dirid, one of the caravan guards has fled and took the songcores with him. Activate your Focus and scan the tracks that will appear beside the caravan cart. Follow the tracks until you find Dirid. Talk to him and shortly after, he’ll get hit by a dart.
This time, you’ll be facing a stalker - a deadly combat machine that utilizes optical camo precise dart launcher, and mine launcher as well. You can disable its optical camo by shooting the camo generator on the side of its limbs; otherwise, you’ll have to closely follow its movements by tracking the shimmering form. Don’t forget to scan as well to register it in your machine catalogue. There’s a few seconds of charging time for its dart gun so you can use that time to fire arrows at it.
If you managed to disable its dart gun, it will be forced to engage you in melee range. When that happens, be careful with its fast movements and a wide tail sweep attack. As long as you time your evasion and counterattacks, you should be able to take down this beast.
After taking out the stalker, talk to Dirid once more to retrieve the songcores. Finally, fast-travel to the campfire nearest to the caravan and deliver the stolen songcores to Marzavid to complete the sidequest.
