This carja fort is located to the far west of the forested region of Carja territory and serves as a prison facility for the Sundom. Nil would’ve mentioned this location if you talked to him during your encounters with him and asked him various questions. Upon arriving at the fort, you’ll find that they’re under attack by two behemoths. Provide assistance by taking out the two Behemoths. The guards will then tell you to talk to the fort’s warden. Don’t forget to loot the parts and carcasses of the defeated behemoths.
The main gate won’t open so find the small doorway on the side of the gate to reach Warden Janeva. Upon talking to her, she’ll be impressed and will immediately ask if you’re okay hunting “living prey”. Apparently, these are convicts in the facility that escaped and she wants you to take care of them. Among the three, Ullia will have an immediate kill-order. For the two, you have to find them first and check if you can bring them back instead.
The nearest one you can find is Ullia, who should be hanging around in the nearby bandit camp. If you already cleared out that camp, then this will be a lot easier. Simply head to the camp and follow the marker. You should find her with some camp refugees that she held captive.
You can take her by surprise with double or triple nocked arrows to the head. While she has a lot of HP, you shouldn’t have problems dealing with her. If it comes to worst, simply use fire arrows to deal DoT damage and distract her. Explosives work well, same as to other human enemies. After downing her, talk to her to complete the objective.
Next, you need to find Rasgrund, in the marked mesa west of the corrupted zone, west of Meridian. If you activate your focus, you can see him immediately; however, being the trapmaker he is, you have to navigate your way past his traps to reach him. Remember that you can prematurely detonate the traps with normal arrows before getting near them to clear the path.
Continue clearing the path and navigating the ravine until you reach the path where you need to swim. There are certain floating explosive traps there that you have to navigate away from. If you need to detonate them, find solid ground and snipe them from a distance. Continue navigating the ravine until you finally reach him. After the cutscene, the crazy man will literally die doing what he loved. Objective complete.
Finally, you have to track down Gavan in Brightmarket. Start by visiting the inn and asking the innkeeper. Next, use your Focus near the stream outside the inn. You should find the discarded manacles on the ground, beside the boulders.
Now, you have to track him down. Use the Focus again to highlight his tracks and follow his trail. This will lead you to a warehouse by the lakeshore. You’ll find Gavan but he’s in trouble with some smugglers. Kill all of the smugglers then talk to Gavan.
Finally, report back to Janeva to complete the quest.
