Heap of Trouble

Start this quest by talking to Petra in the Oseram settlement called Free Heap, northwest of Dawn’s Sentinel. She’ll ask for your help in getting the parts needed to complete her heavy weapon needed to defend themselves from the bandits threatening to overrun their settlement.

The bandit lair is located directly east of the settlement. Avoid entering from the valley since there are bandit sentries guarding from the high ground on both sides. Instead, use the ridge on the right side of the valley to maintain high ground and give you an easier time to snipe off the bandits.

By using the ridge pass earlier, you’ll have access to the rope connecting to the main camp’s upper platform. Zipline there and use the height advantage to pick off the bandits below with carefully aimed headshots or body shots from your sharpshot bow. Prioritize taking out the sentries on the towers and rooftops first.

After clearing the camp, you can now start looting the bodies and recovering the power cells. They’ll have markers to make it easier to spot them. One is sitting beside a stack of ingots near the camp entrance. Another one is located by the trash heap in the corner of the camp.

The last one is located on the roof of the main building. Find the climbing holds on the rock wall on its right side. Climb to the rooftop and pick up the power cell from the table.

After getting all three power cells in the bandit camp, you need to go to the nearby scrapper den northwest of the camp. There are several scrappers along the way, before even reaching the den itself. You can lay down some traps and pick them off one by one using the several hiding spots and bushes. Take note that these scrappers can scan their immediate surroundings and spot you.

Upon reaching the den itself, the objective will update and you’ll need to find all three weapon parts in specified spots in the den. Take out the scrappers for additional resources then follow the markers to retrieve the weapon parts.

After getting all weapon parts, travel back to Free Heap and report back to Petra. She will be able to complete the weapon so pick it up and position yourself by the edge of the roof. The ammo this weapon uses can only be acquired from the pile of glowing-red, hot, balls.

Use the weapon to kill the first wave of bandits. The Oseram Cannon is powerful enough to destroy boulders the bandits use as cover so keep shooting away. Keep doing this until Petra tells you to blow up the bridge to the eastern side of town. Do so to successfully repel the bandit assault. Talk to Petra to complete the quest.
