After the scene, you finally have to settle the score with Helis himself. Unfortunately, he’s accompanied by some cultists, including some heavies. Take advantage of the blaze containers to instantly take out the lesser cultists and heavily damage the heavies. Fire arrows and blast ammo are still very effective against human enemies. Ignore Helis for the meantime and concentrate in taking out the other cultists, especially the heavies. Evade as necessary and don’t stay at one spot for long.
Once the cultists are dealt with, you have to focus on Helis himself. He’s not easily staggered and he’ll always aggressively rush at you. Use this against him by luring him to the remaining blaze containers and igniting them. You can also use the heavy weapons the heavy cultists left behind. If he’s still alive after using the said methods against him, you’ll have to rely on your blast ammo and occasional melee moves against him. After defeating him, you’ll have the chance to savor your victory before finishing him off.
After taking care of business, you have to assist the defenders at the ridge. Make sure to loot the bodies, then break through the door and zipline to the ridge. This part of the battle will be most of the action will take place. You have to hold the line against a stream of machines of all shapes and sizes, including deathbringers. Fortunately, the heavy guns are very effective against them, even at long range. With unlimited ammo, your only concern will be the projectiles that the deathbringers will be lobbing at you. If you have the Shieldweaver armor on, then you should be able to ignore most of the damage and continue with the offensive. If you don’t have the armor yet, then you’ll have to take cover from time to time to avoid the barrage of missiles from the heavy death machines.
As the deathbringers march to your location, smaller combat machines like scrappers, sawtooths, ravagers, and longlegs will take point and attempt to overrun your position. Prioritize getting rid of them first since they can be killed easily and they can close the distance faster. After the initial wave, there will be a brief break to craft, heal up, and harvest nearby medicinal plants.
When the second wave arrives, faster machines like ravagers will arrive as well as glinthawks. You can still use your heavy cannon against them but you have to adjust your aim to compensate with the projectile arcs. If you’re having problems hitting them, load your fire arrows and hit them with it first to make them crash. Use that chance to finish them off with cannon fire. Near the end of the assault, machine reinforcements will arrive in the form of corruptors and a stormbird. You can finish off the stormbird quickly if you stand your ground and endure the damage so you can keep your aim and blast it from the sky with your cannon. After taking out the last deathbringer of the wave, a cutscene will take place.
After getting back on your feet, follow the straightforward path through the burning Meridian village on your way to the spire. You’ll encounter machines along the way but you don’t have to fight them since your allies will engage them instead so you can rush to the spire. You can still kill the machines if you want for additional resources. Once you reach the base of the mesa, a cutscene will play.
After the scene, continue following the narrow path leading to the top of the mesa. Continue until you reach the remaining defenders of the spire. After the scene, loot the nearby crates and make sure your weapons, ammo, arrows, and consumables are stocked up. Once ready, climb up the wall for the final battle.
Right after the scene, you’ll have to face the corrupted deathbringer next. While the same weaknesses apply, this one will take longer to overheat, allowing it to attack longer. The pillars and walls surrounding it are destructible so you can’t stay there for long. At the start of the battle, keep showering it with fire arrows while taking cover. If you can also fire double or triple nocked precision arrows, these will deal heavy damage to removable components such as its shoulder-mounted launcher. A triple-nocked precision arrow can deal 800+ damage per shot at this part.
After a while, a couple of ravagers will join the fray. Your allies will provide the much needed distraction but don’t rely on them too much; make sure to priorities taking out these new machines first. If you can somehow lure them between you and the corrupted deathbringer, you can let friendly fire to do the trick. After taking out the two ravagers, more machines will arrive; prominently a bellowback and a corruptor. Placing some blast tripwires in front of you then luring them in will help a lot. Just make sure to engage them when you’re near cover to avoid further damage from the deathbringer. Once the second batch of machine reinforcements were taken care of, you can now concentrate in attacking the main target.
After a prolonged battle, you’ll finally win against the deathbringer. Finally, head to Hades’ core itself and interact with it to trigger a cutscene. Congratulations for finishing the game!!
After completing the game, when you load the game, you’ll be in the state before starting the mission “The Looming Shadow”. Collected items and EXP will be kept and you’ll have the full freedom to continue what activities you may have missed.
