The Grave-Hoard is another military bunker located in the frozen north of Nora territory. If you haven’t visited this location before, this is one of the many endearing “ancient” sites in the game. Like Maker’s End, there are a lot of new datapads that you can scan and explore. There’s only one campfire near the Grave-Hoard and it’s on play view of a glinthawk nest. There’s also a lone merchant that will provide for your last-minute buying/selling needs.

Continue along the trail and take out the cultists and their corrupted watchers along the way. Continue to the bunker’s entrance to find more cultists and a corrupted watcher inside. You can take them out stealthily or just go all out. There are several datapads that you can scan here so if you’re interested in the story and collecting, take some time scanning and recording the recordings of the poor souls who held their last stand here. There’s one armored soldier with a Stranded Necklace that you can loot in one side of the bunker. (This is part 1 of the 3 Stranded items that you can trade to a specialty merchant in Meridian though you’re not missing that much since the traded items are so-so anyway)

After checking out the bunker entrance, you have to go deeper. Jump on the cable to zipline inside the crevace. After landing on the next ledge, you can turn around and drop down in the flooded room below to find a large container. Climb back up and scan the datapads in the rooms as you please. Continue forth until you find a large crevace where you can zipline deeper down the bunker.

In the next floor, you’ll find a unpowered bunker door. Use your focus to follow the power lines that will lead you to the generator shaft. There are three sets of power nodes that you have to configure correctly to restore power to the door. The first set is found in the other side of the shaft. You just need to use the metal beam to jump to it. The solution is displayed on the code nexus on the leftmost side of the power nodes. Simply follow the combinations from top to bottom and turn the power node starting from the left. (UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT)

Jump back to the previous ledge and use the ladder nearby to find the second set. The code nexus on the right side is malfunctioning but you can scan a datapad containing a audio reminder on how to configure the nodes. (UP, RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN)

For the last set, follow the same walkway as the second set to reach it. Scan the code nexus to display the configuration. Take note of the direction where the openings of the circles are pointing. In this case, starting from the left, go UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN. Finally, backtrack to the bunker door and open it. There items that you can pick up along the way, including a valuable Power Cell.

Continue to the next hall where there are several cultists and corrupted scrappers walking around. You have the element of surprise so you can place some tripwires and traps before engaging them in battle. You’re required to finish them all off in order to continue. You may engage them in any kind of approach you want. After clearing the hall, loot the bodies and check the area for containers then move on to the next area.

Guide Image

Cross the flooded passage by using the climbing holds or swimming to the end then using the last batch of climbing holds. The next passage will lead you to a circular conference room with a console that you need to interact with. Explore the rooms as you wish then use the console to activate a holographic display of the world.

Next, follow the objective marker as it leads you to another long hallway connected to a massive hall. Open the bunker door to trigger a short scene. There are a handful of cultists here and a pristine deathbringer that has just been reactivated.

Guide Image

Your next task is to kill the cultists and the deathbringer. Take note that you can’t engage them from this height since the walkway is destructible. Instead, try to snipe off a few stationary guards with your sharpshot bow then rappel down. If you can manage to snipe a few more cultists from above, the better. When you’re ready to engage the deathbringer, make sure to do so behind cover and you must also know where to go and hide. There’s no way that you’ll survive a head-on battle with this ultimate death machine unless you’re pretty well-equipped and leveled.

Guide Image

Like your previous encounter with the deathbringer in Maker’s End, Tthe most effective way of dealing with this machine is by pelting it with fire arrows to force it to overheat. Then, switch to your normal arrows (for fast draw) and double/triple nock them to deal more damage and concentrate in targeting the heat rods and vents. Successfully destroying these will make it easier to overheat the deathbringer, forcing it to expose its weak spots more often.Double/triple shots from a full-drawn, precision arrow shot from the Sharpshot bow can deal enormous damage and even almost instantly destroy these weakspots, provided that you’re able to get a chance to full-draw and release without getting hit by the rapid ranged attacks of the deathbringer. Just repeat the process until it’s down.

Next, follow the marker and go through the bunker door and follow the path until you reach the War Room. Loot the large container then interact with the console to play another holographic recording. Don’t forget to scan the area for more data points as well.

Once done, climb up the escape elevator. After reaching the top, Sylens will reach out to you again to help you plot the next course of action. You can’t fast-travel out of this location so you have to take a thrilling zipline ride using the cable in the metal tentacles of the decommissioned Horus. You can fast-travel after reaching the path outside the Grave-Hoard.
