Trophies

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Horizon Zero Dawn

Last Updated:

Though there are a lot of datapoint “collectibles” in the game, there are no trophies tied to them. They also count towards the Game Progression percentage but reaching 100% game progression won’t unlock any trophies as well. Some of the trophies are very self-explanatory so we will only include descriptions on certain trophies that require additional notes or direction to unlock.

Getting the Platinum trophy in this game is rather easy, with no repeating playthroughs, save for the "checkpoint" save the game automatically creates before the last mission where you can still continue your pending activities and sidequests even after you finish the game.

All trophies obtained (Platinum)

Obtained all Horizon Zero Dawn trophies.

Stealth killed 10 machines (Bronze)

Performed a stealth kill on 10 machines.

3 Strikes From Above (Bronze)

Killed 3 enemies using the Strike from Above skill.

Strike from Above Kills Trophy

Tore off 10 components (Bronze)

Detached 10 components from machines during combat.

Easily done with tearblaster arrows or tearblaster weapon

10 Vulnerable machine kills (Bronze)

Killed 10 machines weak to Fire while burning, or weak to Freeze while frozen.

Scan machines by using your Focus to highlight their components and weaknesses and you must kill them while the status effect is active. This is represented by the small circle above the machine’s head. You must deliver the finishing blow while the machine is either burning or frozen. For example, sawtooths and glinthawks bodies are weak against fire. Set them ablaze then take them out while they’re burning to register the kill towards this trophy. Chances are you’ll unlock this trophy during normal progression in the game.

Tore off 5 heavy weapons (Bronze)

Detached 5 heavy weapons from machines during combat.

Thunderjaws are the best candidates for this trophy since it carries two disc launchers at a time. If you can’t take down thunderjaws effectively yet, then you can concentrate on taking on Ravagers. Deathbringer guns can also be torn off but taking them on is already a huge risk so I wouldn’t recommend it. Tear these components off using tearblaster arrows or the tearblaster.

Headshot 30 human enemies (Bronze)

Killed 30 human enemies by landing headshots on them.

Sharpshot bows with precision arrow and concentration is very effective in scoring headshots, even at incredible distances. You can commonly find human enemies in bandit camps and cultist dig sites. Just attempt to do headshots, preferably while in stealth, to get a steady aim.

You can learn all skills with minimal effort since some quests give skill points as reward and you’ll also get one during while leveling up.

Cleared all the Bandit Camps (Silver)

Took back all settlements from the bandit clans.

There are only 6 bandit camps in the game. To clear out a bandit camp, you simply need to kill everyone inside. Some camps have alarms which will allow them to call in additional reinforcements and prisoners who you can free to help you liberate the camp. Disabling the alarms and freeing the prisoners will make your job easier. Otherwise, you can employ stealth and clear out the camp by yourself using stealth kills and arrow headshots. You may refer to this guide’s Bandit Camps section for a walkthrough on how to clear each bandit camp.

All Cores Overridden (Silver)

Reached the Core of every Cauldron and accessed the information within.

All Corrupted Zones cleared (Silver)

Killed all the corrupted machines in every Corrupted Zone.

Corrupted zones are fixed locations in the map where corrupted machines roam. The difficulty, recommended level, and type of machines that thrive these locations will differ from each zone. Take note that you can make preparations like laying down tripwires and traps before engaging the corrupted machines, except for a specific corrupted zone that has a couple of corrupted rockbreakers that can join battles outside their designated zones if ever you aggro other machines near their location.

All machines catalogued (Bronze)

Encountered and Focus scanned every type of machine.

You can encounter all machines in the wild and by going through with the story. Take note of the Red-eye Watcher since it’s still technically a watcher but considered a different type in the machine catalogue.
