Override Unlocks:
This is an inactive cauldron occupied by Eclipse cultists. You have to clear out the camp outside the vault’s entrance first by stalking the guards one by one and eliminating them with silent strikes and headshots. After clearing the excavation site, loot all bodies to get the key which will give you access to the gate. Loot the other containers as well then approach the wooden door to interact with it and open it.
Once inside, use your focus to see the enemy patrols and tag them. There are two patrolling cultists along the first cavern so take them out and head deeper until you reach a large chamber that’s part of the cauldron. There are a handful of enemies here so deal with them and follow the walkway down the ramp. Continue forth and you’ll find yet another massive hall within that’s invaded by both nature and cultists.
Your objective is deeper ahead and you don’t need to kill all cultists. However, doing so will make your job a lot easier. There’s a lot of possible covers and tall grass below which will allow you to stalk and snipe enemies while maintaining stealth. Before heading down, use your focus to all hostiles within your range. After tagging the enemies, jump down and either sneak past them or kill them all. Either way, make your way to the other side of hall and continue following the wooden walkway until you reach a flooded part of the cavern. Circle around the path and find the ledge you can climb on. Follow this path to reach the cauldron’s exposed core, with even more cultists inside.
Lay down some traps and start tagging the enemies in the chamber. Engage them and clear the room. Save the blaze canisters around the room for now since you’ll use them in another battle in a short while. I suggest leaving your untriggered traps and tripwires then place more around the room before overriding the core.
Once ready, override the core but you’re not cleared yet. You have to defend the core for two minutes against machines and cultists. Your traps will help a lot in whittling down their numbers. The machines will be aggressive towards you and the cultists so if you want, you can stay out of their sight and let them kill each other so you can pick them off easily later on.
After the two minutes is up, your objective will update and require you to find an exit. Finish off the remaining machines or cultists inside the chamber and loot their bodies. You can’t backtrack where you came from since the passage will be blocked by a barrier. Instead, find the wooden ramp in the chamber which will allow you to jump on the discharge pylon. From there, you can jump to the nearby wooden plank.
Follow the wooden walkway until you reach another chamber. Take cover and watch a couple of cultists get killed by a nearby stalker. This stalker is found on an upper ledge to the right so lay down some tripwires in front of you then lure it to your traps so you can score an easy stalker kill.
Once done, find the door under the ledge where the stalker appeared and override it to open it. You’ll back in the cauldron’s main hall. There are more cultists here as well as stalkers so if possible, try to run and stay in cover. Your objective is to reach the pillar/pylon in the other end of the hall and climb it. You don’t need to override it like a normal pylon so instead, grab hold of the climbing holds on the wall and jump to reach the next hallway.
More cultists are waiting there as well as smaller machines. If there are still blaze canisters remaining, you can shoot these to damage/kill all nearby enemies. Continue fighting your way to the cauldron’s exit to complete the activity and receive your rewards. The site outside will be under attack by glinthawks as well. It’s up to you if you’ll clear the excavation site of cultists and machines so you’ll have more loot or just leave them be.
