In Foreign Lands

This errand can be acquired while talking to Balahn the first time you reach Daytower. He’ll mention about his men that went missing while checking out the Forsaken Village. You should have access to fast-travel to the campfire there since it’s a former Corrupted Zone (if you cleared it already beforehand)

In the Forsaken Village, kill any machine that may still roam the area then use your Focus to scan one of the fallen Carja soldiers. Examine the body then use the Focus again to highlight the track.

Follow the track and you’ll find another Carja soldier corpse along the way. Examine the corpse as well the continue following the tracks until you find a helmet. Examine it as well then scan the area for another set of tracks.

The tracks will stop by the lakeshore. Examine the bloodstains then swim towards the island. The island is home to snapmaws so just stick to your current path. As soon as you reach the island, a snapmaw will appear instantly as part of the quest.

Defeat it then loot its carcass to get a Carja Bow. Follow the tracks around the rocks to locate Lakhir, the last surviving soldier of the platoon you’re looking for. Talk to him to complete the errand.
