You can launch this list of options by pressing A on an empty tile/space. In this page, we will discuss the various options you can use from this menu.

Units

This will display a list of all participants in battle, including enemy units. This will give you a good overview of the units, especially their remaining HP, battalion endurance, and many more. Scroll through different information tabs by pressing the ZL/ZR buttons. You can toggle the list of your own units, allied units, and enemy units by pressing the R button. If you scroll down the list, you can then press Y to jump instantly to the location of the highlighted unit.

Retreat

Selecting this option will give you two choices:

1. Restart battle from the beginning and keep all the earned EXP

2. Retreat to the Battle Selection screen. EXP will not be retained.

The first option is useful in farming EXP without quitting the battle and re-entering it again. And since this is a restart, the units that retreated or died thus far will be available again.

Conditions

Review the victory/defeat conditions, overview of the map, the turns passed, units remaining, and number of untapped units (units who haven’t acted yet).

Auto-Battle

This will allow all of your untapped units to perform the selected auto-battle action automatically for the entire turn. You can end this action by pressing the ZL Button. There are four strategies available:

* Charge: Units will aggressively push forward and attack enemies.

* Focus: Units will focus on their individual strengths in approaching the enemy.

* Fall Back: Units will try their best in moving away from enemies then wait to end their turn.

* Unite: Units will move and gather around Byleth.

Bookmark

This option allows you to create a temporary save file that will save the exact state of the battle. When you resume this save file, the temp save will be deleted.

End

This option will end the Player Phase, regardless of any untapped/ unused units remaining.
