Personal Ability

These are permanent abilities unique for each character. You can’t unequip or swap them.

Class Ability

These are abilities tied to your character’s current class. Some can be learned permanently (will be included in your available abilities pool) after the character masters the class, while others can only become available if your character is currently using the current class. For example, for the Thief class, you can only learn the Steal ability once you master the class. However, the other class ability Locktouch can’t be learned even if you mastered the class.

Learned Abilities

These are abilities are learned by your characters whenever they level up a skill or master a class (profession/job). These can be equipped and swapped like normal inventory items. Whenever you have a character get promoted to a different class, always check his/her equipped abilities to maximize efficiency. Equip and swap out abilities that will become unusable for the character’s current class. For example, you don’t need a mage with Sword Prowess if there are other abilities to choose from.
