Fire Emblem: Three Houses Walkthrough

What are Mission Assistants?

You’ll unlock the Ability to Recruit Mission Assistants in Chapter 3: Mutiny in the Mist as early as 6/8 (Garland Moon). You can choose one student from another house to become your Mission Assistant for all battles for the entire month. Chosen students won’t earn EXP but their Support points (affinity) can be increased towards you or other characters from your team that he/she has Support Conversations with. They’ll also be added to your roster temporarily so you can view their profile and other details.

This will make it easier to Recruit them later, especially after reaching at least C-rank with them. To request a student to become a Mission Assistant, simply talk to him/her and the option will be available if you haven’t requested any other student.

Mission assistants have the following Conditions:
* You can only choose one student from another house.
* They won’t earn EXP so don’t let them hog the glory.
* They can increase Support points with Byleth and other characters they have support with.
* They can be set as Adjutants
* You can’t modify their inventory. You can’t also give them items or take their items.
* You can view the mission assistant’s profile but you can’t modify their Abilities or Combat Arts.
* In the Battle Preparation screen, you can opt to include or exclude them in battle, like any other unit.
* The Durability of weapons owned by Mission Assistant students are automatically restored after each battle.
* When playing Classic mode, we still can't confirm if Mission Assistants die permanently or they’ll just retreat.
