What are Combat Arts?

 
In this page, we will discuss combat arts, how they're used, and how they can turn the tide of battle.

Basically, combat arts are special attacks that have varying effects like dealing Bonus Damage against specific enemy types or prevent enemies from counterattacking. They’ll reduce the Durability of your weapon by a significant amount per use but when used at the right moment, they can be very potent and effective.



Combat arts like those that affect the positioning of your allies doesn’t use up Weapon Durability to be activated. The combat arts a unit can learn will depend on his/her class and his/her mastery level for that class. Relic users like Byleth and Catherine also have personal combat arts that can only be used with their relic weapons equipped.



Each character can only have up to three combat arts. If your unit learned more than that, you can freely swap it out from the Inventory menu > Combat Arts as shown below.
