Keeping your unit’s HP up is necessary to keep their field presence and to achieve victory. Here are some methods of healing your units in the game.
You should at least have each of your units carry a healing item such as a Vulnerary or Concoction. Each can be used up to three times per battle but they’re automatically replenished after the battle. Using them will take up a turn but it can be a life saver especially if you can reposition your wounded unit and rescue him/her from danger.
Specific classes like Monks and Priests are designated support casters or healers have access to various healing spells. Their healing abilities are further complemented by abilities that further enhances the amount of HP they recover.
Long-Range healing spells like Physic is invaluable to any combat situation, since it allows your healer to maintain a safe distance from enemies while also being able to so Support far-reach allies.
There are specific tiles or spaces like heal tiles and strongholds that provide regenerative effects to the units (friendly or not) standing on them. The unit recovers HP every turn as long as he/she is on that tile. Key enemies or bosses of the map usually stay on strongholds, giving them HP regen every turn.
The other methods of healing involve specific abilities, combat arts, or spells. Here are some examples:
* Raphael’s unique (personal) Ability is Goody Basket, that allows him to recover up to 10% of his HP every turn.
* The Combat Art Healing Focus allows the user to recover 50% of his HP
* Nosferatu is a light attack magic that allows the user to recover HP equal to half of the Damage dealt.
* Battalion Renewal is an Ability that allows the unit to heal 30% of its max HP at the start of each turn as long as the endurance of his/her assigned battalion is < ⅓.
