It seems that there’s no Weapon Triangle system in FETH; however, players can now utilize various methods of improving their units’ offensive and defensive capAbilities through careful allotment of abilities, weapons, and Combat Arts.
Bonus Damage should be utilized whenever you can, especially against tougher targets. In this page, we will discuss the different ways to deal bonus damage to certain enemies and maintain your advantage in the battlefield.
There are some Conditions where certain units can deal more damage against certain enemies by default. For example, archers are very effective against all flying units, regardless of what kind of bow they have equipped. Spellcasters are potent against heavily-armored units.
There are certain weapons and magic that can deal bonus damage against specific enemy types. These can be identified immediately by looking at certain icons beside the weapon’s Durability counter.
For magics, you have to open the details from your unit’s Skills tab (or anywhere where you can see your spell list). You’ll see the spell’s effective target in the description of “Eff” Stat. If you use magic or weapon that’s effective against a specific enemy type, you’ll be able to deal x3 of the weapon/magic’s might (mt) in damage.
On the other hand, there are Combat Arts that can deal bonus damage against specific enemy types. When used against enemy types they’re strong against, you’ll deal x2 damage.
While not boosting your direct damage, there are certain Abilities that grant temporary Stat boosts to your Str or Mag Stats, which in turn increases the damage output when using a physical or magical attack. Make sure to equip these abilities whenever you can. You can see their description by launching the “details” cursor (press X).
