Secret Doors

While exploring the area, you might run into secret doors. Some of these contain various items while some contain time-based challenges that can be tricky to complete but will net you good rewards if successful. To enter a door, step in front of it and press up on your Circle Pad.

Challenge	Objective
Crystal Smash!	Destroy all crystals within the time limit
Defeat them all!	Defeat all enemies within the time limit
Survive	Survive against waves of enemies and hazards until time runs out.
Target Smash	Destroy all targets within the time limit.

Events

Random events trigger while you're exploring. Look at the gauge above the timer, you'll see white lines. Whenever the gauge reaches the white lines, an event will trigger. You can look for the event details in the top part of your lower screen. These events usually give players limited objectives that will award them with valuable items/ power ups if completed.

There are also some events that introduce new but temporary hazards, items, and power-ups. Once an event is active, a red countdown timer will appear on the upper left of the upper screen. This indicates the duration of the event. Look out for the red arrow when an event is active. This will lead you to the location or the object that's related to the event.

Event	Description
[?] Fest	A random enemy will spawn more frequently
Amped Up!	Speed and Jump stats are maxed out for the duration of the event. Use this chance to collect those hard to reach power ups!
Big Haul	Get more loot from treasure chests
Bonus Time	Increased stat boost drops
Dirty Trick	Bombs are spawned by a specific enemy
Doors Galore	Secret doors will appear in the area.
Fast Learner	A random stat will increase faster
Final Battle Forecast	Hint about the final battle
Gale	Your character will be pushed by a strong gust
Heavenly Light	Heavenly light will be bestowed to your character
Otherworldly Door	A new door opens in the map
Treasure Map	Treasure chests appear in the map
Treasure Trove	A new door opens in the map
Wanted	A marked target will appear in the map. Defeat it to get the reward
Warp	Your character will be teleported to a random location.
