Kirby performs a low spinning, sweeping kick that can hit opponents on both sides.
Special Attacks
Kirby opens its mouth and creates a vacuum to suck up one opponent. Kirby will be able to copy a captured opponent's ability by pressing the Special button, and his outer appearance will change a bit. When the attack button is hit, Kirby will spit out the opponent, which becomes a star-shaped projectile that can hit and damage opponents. Kirby must use Taunt to throw away the copied ability.
Kirby performs a heavy swing of its hammer. When charged, flames will cover the hammer, increasing its power and launch potential. Don't charge it for too long or Kirby will get continuously damaged.
Final Cutter (Up Special)
Kirby will jump while slashing his sword upward, before slashing down and producing a fast, forward-traveling shock wave.
Stone (Down Special)
Kirby transforms into a heavy object that drops on the ground. While in this form, he can't take damage and won't flinch to attacks. When combined with a jump, the impact will have a small splash damage. When used near the ground, the impact can push enemies away.
Air Attacks
Kirby spins around in mid-air, hitting anyone in any direction.
Kirby performs a multi-hit spinning kick while airborne
A backwards drop kick.
An upward kick
Kirby “drills” an opponent downward, using both of his feet.
Final Smash
Kirby pulls a massive sword that will pull in opponents while he's swinging it. The attack's range increases gradually.
Recovery
Kirby has multiple jumps which can cover a large distance and considerable height. Kirby's Final Cutter is similar to King Dedede's Super Dedede Jump; it's a two-phase move that launches Kirby high up in the air then automatically perform a downward slash attack with his sword. The move's height is excellent; however, players need to control the trajector and make sure that Kirby will be able to grab the edge of the stage before the move enters its second phase; otherwise, the fall will result to self-destruction.
Gameplay
Kirby's understandably lightweight and one of the smallest (like Jigglypuff). Kirby's multiple jumps can be used to recover efficiently or as part of his offensive moves. Like Jigglypuff, Kirby's small limbs make range somewhat an issue, especially when facing characters with good long-ranged attacks or at least good range. However, Kirby's main strength is the ability to copy other character's Neutral Special abilities. After trapping enemies using Inhale, pressing the pressing the Special button, and his outer appearance will change a bit. When the attack button is hit, Kirby will spit out the opponent, which becomes a star-shaped projectile that can hit and damage opponents. Kirby must use Taunt to throw away the copied ability.
Kirby's Side Smash, Hammer Flip, and Stone moves can heavily damage and launch opponents so he can use it as his main attack finishers. Kirby's also fast so its relatively easy for him to execute a dash attack. Kirby's aerial attacks are average but thanks to his multiple jumps, these mid-air attacks can pressure enemies who are trying to get back to the stage.
