Basic Attacks
Luigi with land a one-two punch before finishing with his butt that can send enemies in the air.
Luigi performs a forward kick with decent range.
Luigi performs a quick downward slam with his fist.
Luigi performs a low attack by kicking backward.
Dash Attacks
Luigi will trash his hands while eyes closed towards the enemy.
Smash Attacks
Luigi delivers a powerful thrust using his open hand. The range is short but it's powerful enough to launch enemies.
Luigi delivers a powerful downward strike that can launch enemies.
Luigi performs a powerful spinning low sweep.
Special Attacks
Luigi flicks his fingers to release a fireball that will roll close to the ground.
Luigi blasts off head first to the side. He can perform this while on the ground or while in mid-air. This move can be charged. However, if Luigi charges too long, he'll get exhausted and will take a bit of recovery time to use this move again. There's also a chance that Luigi will get stuck on a wall if there's one directly along his trajectory.
This move is similar to Mario's however, the damage in Luigi's version diminishes the farther he is from the enemy. To deal most damage, he must use this move right beside the opponent.
While Luigi is spinning, you can control his direction and allow him to travel for a short distance. When he outstretches his arms outward at the end of the move, he'll have more reach and will still hit enemies within range.
Air Attacks
Luigi performs a weak, short-ranged kick.
Luigi delivers a quick, overhead clubbing using his fist.
Luigi delivers a drop kick.
Luigi performs a somersault kick.
Luigi performs a spinning downward drop kick.
Final Smash
Luigi unleashes his vacuum gun called the Poltergust 5000. He will sway it around and suck any opponent nearby. Opponents get continuously damaged while they're inside the vacuum so the earlier you can capture someone, the better. At the end of the move, the trapped opponents will be blown outside, dealing additional damage.
Recovery
Luigi's vertical recovery move is no other than the Super Jump Punch. It has good reach and can be used in addition to his already good basic jump height. His Green Missile move has good horizontal range and can be used as a potent recovery move when thrown outside the stage. The longer you charge this move in mid-air, the farther it reaches. Luigi Cyclone is another potential recovery move but use it only when you're near the edge. The ending animation when Luigi outstretches his arms will cause a split-second delay which can lead to free fall if he wasn't able to grab hold of the stage's edge.
Gameplay
Like Mario, Luigi has decent average mobility and speed. His range may not be that great so you have to consider the risks before using his moves. His Green Missile special has good range and will allow him to quickly close the distance while having the chance to potentially damage any opponent along the way. The catch however is that using this move at the wrong place and time will cause him to fly off the stage instead or hit a wall which will make him stuck for a few seconds – enough for opponents to take advantage of.
His Fireballs are good for harassing opponents but he won't be able to rely on that move alone to deal much damage. His Super Jump Punch is quite powerful if it connects at close range; any farther and it will cause measly damage. Speaking of range, his Smash attacks have very limited reach so you have to be fast and careful since you have to be up-close-and-personal to your target.
