Last Updated:
Pit's mysterious, black-clad doppelgänger, Dark Pit. (Some call him Pittoo, but he really doesn't like that.) When he first appears, he immediately goes after both Pit and the Underworld Army. In Smash Bros., he uses moves a lot like Pit's, though both his bow and his Sacred Treasures are different.

Basic Attacks

Neutral Attack

Pit performs a 3-hit slash. The last hit will knock back the enemy.

Side Attack

Dark Pit slashes his blades like a scissor.

Up Attack

Dark Pit performs a three-hit kick going up.

Down Attack

Dark Pit will slash one of his blades downward.

Dash Attacks

Dash attack

Dark Pit dashes forth and swing his blades at the moment the attack button is pressed.

Smash Attacks

Side Smash

Dark Pit performs a two-hit slash, the second one dealing more damage and knock back power.

Up Smash

Dark Pit performs a two-hit slash upward, the second one dealing more damage and knock back power.

Down Smash

Dark Pit performs a two-hit slash sweep that has considerable damage and knock back power.

Special Attacks

Silver Bow (Neutral Special)

Fires a dark arrow. You can charge up for a few seconds to increase the power, range, and speed. While charging, you can tilt up to fire the arrow upward.

Electroshock Arm (Side Special)

Dark Pit equips a large gauntlet then charge towards the target to deliver a powerful uppercut if it connects. This can send the target flying, and can be used to deflect items as well.

Pandora Wings (Up Special)

This move allows Dark Pit to launch himself up to a great height. This attack doesn't damage enemies but can be an excellent recovery move.

Guardian Orbitars (Down Special)

Deploy shields on both sides that can push enemies away and also protect you from any attack for a couple of seconds. This can be done on both land or air.

Air Attacks

Mid-Air, Neutral Attack

Dark Pit spins his blade in front of him vertically. Enemies caught in it will get hit multiple times.

Mid-Air, Side Attack

Dark Pit will spin his blades horizontally (front) or stab both of his blades for a back attack.

Mid-Air, Up Attack

Dark Pit spins his blade over his head, similar to a chopper. Enemies caught in it will get hit multiple times and get knocked off.

Mid-Air, Down Attack

Dark Pit slashes downward, making the enemy hit hard on the ground

Final Smash

Dark Pit Staff

Dark Pit releases a very powerful beam that has a very long range (a whole stage from end to end) that can instantly KO anyone caught in it. Timing is necessary since the beam itself is thin.

Dark Pit can jump up to four times but the third and fourth jumps won't be as high as the first two. For horizontal recovery, you can use his Electroshock Arm special and for vertical his far-reaching Pandora Wings move. With these, you can easily return back to the stage.

Dark Pit doesn't have heavy damage-dealing attacks so he'll need to use his agility and multi-hit attacks to slowly build up damage to his opponents before using moves with high knockback. Since most of his attacks utilize his blades, this gives Dark Pit a little extra range. His mobility while airborne is also something that he can take advantage off. The Guardian Orbitars provide excellent side defense regardless whether if its used on the ground or while in the air. Dark Pit's Electroshock Arm attack has quick speed, good range, and knockback power so using it at the right time can compensate his lack of considerable power.
