Rosalina waves her wand upward. Luma will also attack upward.
Rosalina creates a couple of vortices on both sides.
Special Attacks
Rosalina will shoot Luma ahead, spiraling and hitting anything on its path. If you charged the move, Luma will travel faster and deal more damage. While Luma is at a distance, you can still have it attack opponents by using Side Special (Star Bits) You can recall Luma back by pressing the Special button again.
Luma fires three projectiles in front of it.
Rosalina flies off diagonally.
This move doesn't do much damage directly to opponents. This move pulls in items and projectiles nearby.
Air Attacks
A basic somersault

Rosalina kicks backwards and releases a small vortex near her feet.
Rosalina releases a halo overhead and Luma attacks upward at the same time.
Rosalina fires a halo downward.
Final Smash
Rosalina summons a Power Star. This massive star grows in size and fires off small star projectiles in all directions. Rosalina and Luma can move freely while the Power Star is active, allowing them to deal further damage to opponents. When it reaches its maximum size, it explodes dealing additional damage.
Recovery
Rosalina's only recovery tool is Launch Star. This move has good range and height which can be used for both horizontal and vertical recovery. Rosalina will be on free fall after using this but you can still control her descent.
Gameplay
Rosalina and Luma one of the two tandem “characters” in the game. Rosalina can attack on her own while Luma can function as a separate unit. Luma can take damage meant for Rosalina without raising Rosalina's damage meter. Luma isn't invincible though; after sustaining enough damage, Luma will disappear. Rosalina needs to fight alone for a few moments until Luma respawns again. Rosalina can use Luma as a shield and as a projectile that she can recall. Luma usually attacks in conjunction with some of Rosalina's moves, dealing more damage compared to Rosalina's attacks alone.
Luma Shot is Rosalina's way of making use of Luma as a shield and a long-range weapon. While Luma is away, Rosalina can use Star Bits from a distance in order to extend her reach. She can recall Luma quickly anytime whenever it is needed. Damage-wise, Rosalina doesn't deal that much damage. Rosalina lacks any fast, connecting combo attacks so she'll have to rely on accurate, individual attacks to rack up damage before finishing off opponents using her Smash attacks or a charged up Luma Shot.
