Final Smash

Galaxia Darkness

Recovery

Meta Knight can jump up to six times, which is quite beneficial for a lightweight character like him. His multiple number of jumps should be more than enough to get you back on the stage. In addition to his jumps, he can also rely on some of his Special moves. Shuttle Loop is his main vertical recovery move because of its high reach. However, after using this move, Meta Knight will fall helplessly until he hits solid ground.

Aerial Recovery
Aerial Recovery

His Drill Rush has a very good horizontal reach and will give you a good opportunity to damage opponents who will attempt to prevent you from recovering back to the stage. In addition, his Dimensional Cape is an outstanding evasive horizontal recovery move as long as you memorized its maximum distance.

Gameplay

Albeit his small size, Meta Knight is one of the best equipped light characters in the game. His aerial attacks are quite average so don't expect it to be his strong suite. His moveset has the right combination of quick, offensive attacks – some of which can even be abused and used as recovery moves. Drill Rush is quite effective for both attack and recovery because of its range. Dimensional Cape allows you to move past your opponent so you can deliver Meta Knight's quick slashes from behind. His Mach Tornado serves as both shield against weaker projectiles and a multi-hit spinning move against unguarded enemies within his range.
