Kratos has six stats that are directly affected by the equipped armor, talisman, enchantments, and axe pommel. You can view the description for each stat by pressing L3. As your individual stat increases, the diamond in the middle of the stat screen will slowly fill up. Once filled, your power level will increase. Atreus doesn’t have stats but he becomes more effective in combat as Kratos improves and Atreus gains access to new skills.

Stat	Description
Strength	Increases damage for all standard attacks
Runic	Increases both Runic Attack and Elemental damage
Defense	Reduces all damage taken
Vitality	Increases Maximum Health and decreases the severity of hit rations from enemy attacks
Luck	Increases Perk activation chance. Increases XP and Hacksilver gains
Cooldown	Reduces recharge time of Runic Attacks, Runic Summons, and Talismans.
