After Modi runs away, bring Atreus back to the boat and sail back to the Witch’s Cave. Just follow the cavern until you reach the lift leading back to the up to the Witch’s house. After reaching her door, a cutscene will take place.
After learning what you need to do next, exit the house and follow the marker to reach Freya’s boat. Interact with it and go through the next cutscene. Shortly after, you’ll be back in your home. Follow the path back to your house but anticipate a reaver ambush. Destroy all of them then open the door of your house to retrieve a part of Kratos’ past that he thought he already left behind.
With the Blades of Chaos equipped, engage the enemies outside your home. If you played the previous GoW titles, the attacks and moves will be very familiar. You can now also switch between the Leviathan Axe and the Blades of Chaos by pressing the left or right d-pad buttons. Like the Leviathan Axe, the Blade of Chaos can be upgraded, equipped with a pommel, and two (light and heavy) runic attacks. Its runic attacks have their own cooldowns as well, giving you access to a total of four runic attacks at your disposal. The Blades also has its own Skill tree so don’t forget to spend your extra exp on them.
After the battle, find the mystic gate near your house and use it to travel to Brok’s Shop in the Lake of Nine. As soon as you arrive at his shop, Brok will be intrigued by your new set of blades. Check out his shop if you want then continue inside Tyr’s temple. With the travel rune to Helheim available, select it as your destination to continue with the story.
