Location: Hidden Chamber of Odin, bridgeway covered by a shock crystal, Helheim
Rota has two standard projectile attacks; a blockable swarm of small, homing halos and a larger, unblockable halo ring that she’ll throw at you. The latter requires precise timing to evade since it’s quick and accurate.
Her signature attack is flying towards you and when you’re caught, she’ll pin you down and drag you along the floor, dealing considerable damage. She will repeat this charge up to three times if you managed to avoid her initial fly-bys. (Listen to her screams before each fly-by to anticipate this move and react accordingly) However, if you manage to evade all three fly-bys, she’ll be vulnerable to counterattack. It’s best to use heavy runic attacks during these vulnerable instances to deal greater damage compared to ordinary weapon attacks.
Her standard combo will be composed of an alternate double wing slash finished off by an unblockable slam with her scepter. Like before, it’s better to block the wing slashes then evade her last strike, especially when you’re within her melee range.
Be careful of her unblockable overhead stomp that will allow her to deal continuous damage if you don’t mash the circle button. If you hear her scream “Valhalla!”, quickly dodge away. She may do this once or twice so listen to her scream to react properly and avoid unnecessary damage. If you successfully evade this stomp attempt, you may counterattack.
Finally, she also has an unblockable long-ranged quick jab with her right fist and wing. You’ll know when she’ll do this when she backsteps, especially after her stomp attack. Avoid damage by sidestepping to your right.
