Upon logging into the game following the activation of the newest set of Holiday Events players were confronted by a dark and grim view of Santa Clause who it seems is missing some of his Elves! Everyone knows that you cannot have Christmas without Santa, and Santa cannot operate without his army of diminutive workers -- AKA Elves!
"On the first day of Xmas Santa said to me "Where do you keep the turkey?"
You cannot have a proper Xmas Holiday Event in The Sims: FreePlay unless it involves some sort of mystery because hey, that is how SimSanta rolls! In this instance the mystery is missing elves, and like all traditional Missions and Quests in FreePlay the Christmas -- excuse me! The XMAS 2013 Holiday Event and Dinner Theater Mystery begins with its own Mission Entry in the Mission Bar that is located on the bottom left corner of the screen.
The Mission Bar should have, in addition to the new Santa Story Missions, the Bar for your Out of Town Adventures, and the Bar for your In-Town Adventures. And that is all that should be there!

- Have Four Sims Sing Carols to the Xmas Vacuum
After you complete all of the Quest tasks simply log into the game on Christmas Day to claim your Reindeer.

Apologies to the Regulars here at the Unofficial SuperCheats Guide to The Sims FreePlay for the halted coverage of the Missing Xmas Elves Event. Our access to the game was cut mid-way through the event, and we were not able to successfully log into or play the game until very late on the evening of 29 December. by which time the event had ended.
In the interest of completely covering the Tasks we pulled the list from the official site and post it here. We hope that our SNAFU did not disrupt your play and that you were able to complete the rest of the Event without having access to the guide. Sorry about that mates.

Great Xmas mishap (2014 version) - Part 1
* Is there a time limit? = Yes, 10 hours & 30 minutes, for 12 days in a row (to unlock the prizes).
* When does it start? = 2014-Dec-14, noon (local time).
* What triggers it? = If you start the game on the above date (or later), the quest (& the timer) will start automatically.
* Prizes (if you finish the quest in time)
Living teddy bear
Inventory > outdoors > outdoor decorations = Inflatable sleigh
Inventory > furniture > decorations = Xmas candles
Inventory > furniture > decorations = Snow globe

1) Splash face in a sink.
Time = 3 seconds
Click on a sink, & "Splash face".
2) Ask a sim if they are OK.
Time = 10 seconds
Choose a different sim, click on the sim who fell down (because of the splash face action), & ask "Are you OK?".
3) Bake some cookies on a stove.
Time = 1 minute
You can try our game - the instructions are in the guide page for Courtesy Houses but, we are having trouble logging into Facebook via the game at the moment so I am not sure of the game is saved to the cloud or if its save has expired?

Go to the type of plant it is asking you to investigate with a Sim and then click on it. That would be the easiest way.
How do I investigate a plant ?
Go to the pet store
Click on the tap that says reindeers
Keep scrolling through the reindeers
Then find the one that is titled brown
That one is free
They gave me more time on Christmas day
I got my reindeer as soon as I finished for free. And I didn't use a single lp (because I don't ha be any money to buy them and I'm stuck on a quest) I don't know why it's causing problems for everyone else
I completed all the goals and it said I will get the reindeer on Christmas Day. Well it's there alright in the pet store but it's not free. It costs 75LP! What a waste. I give up on this game. The island quest is a waste too. I have been playing since it came out but now I have to delete this game.
Christmas morning we finally finished the QUEST, yay BUT.....you need a pet store to get your reindeer, which we don't have yet. What a FAIL FAIL FAIL - especially after I spent real money for LPs because of the looming deadline. Thanks for ruining our Christmas morning EA.
I finished the Quest with my daughter and on Christmas morning we did it! BUT then we found out you need a pet store to get your reindeer which we don't have. What a FAIL. Unfair and insidiously deceptive. Thanks EA for ruining our Christmas morning.
Reindeer is at the pet store. First one is free.

Yea, I finished all the quests, a box popped up after midnight saying I finished and get a free reindeers, yet I can't find it any where and in the pet store you have to buy them.

I finished all the tasks and then looked everywhere, in all the building stuff and decoration stuff, in the pet store and even in the park, and I can't find my free pet reindeer!!! Where is it?? Can sbd help me PLEASE!!
I have 9 hours left on the game and I'm on day 10, these tasks are ridiculously long!

Hey everyone? I'm onXmas day 12 at the moment, as you get higher up in the days you have to do more quests, spend more time on Sims worrying about whether you'll finish the quest or not and (probably) spend more LP like I did, I think all the quests can be done without LP but you would have to be up pretty early in the morning and pretty late at night for it to work.
I'm on Xmas day 12 on Xmas eve at the moment, I'm 40% through the last day's quest and have just started a five hour story with Santa so it looks like my sims will have done 10 hours of activity!

It's day 8 and only 1 day left is there any way I can get more time

After investigating the elf footprints, Santa has not returned with any more quests, I've waited patiently for this long, but still nothing. I even deleted then re downloaded the app to see if hat would work but still nothing! Can anyone help??
