What's New?

Despite the seemingly slow and never-changing image that FreePlay presents, believe it or not they are constantly sneaking in new and exciting content!

For example while nobody was looking the wizards who create The Sims: FreePlay managed to really explode the offerings of Mystery Island - and we are not just talking about the many new destinations that were added by the well-hated Life dreams & Legacies Missions and its associated Quests.

Yes, very few players really liked that new expansion largely because it adds Death to the game. Sigh. With all of the effort that goes into birthing and creating your Sims it is understandable that you don't desire to witness their death - we get that...

But then, beyond the Public Beach, the Horse Stables, the High Top Carnival, and Ice Ape Arcade there have been some new additions! Check these out - maybe you were not aware of them?

1. Barkshire Pet Park

A place for your Pets to run free and socialize! Barkshire Pet Park is located in Central-North Mystery Island at the very end of the main north-south avenue. It requires you to have reached Level 26 - and is a late entry in the Life dreams & Legacies Expansion, being proof that you CAN teach an Old Dog new Tricks!

2. The Candlelit Fork Restaurant

Part of the newest Hobby line for FreePlay - the Cooking Hobby - once you have a Sim begin working their way up the chain for the Cooking Hobby you can build this combination Restaurant and Bar, and have your Cooking Sim become the professional man (or woman) of the house! Bear in mind tho that you have to begin at the beginning and work your way up the hobby levels in order to unlock the ability to build this building.

The Restaurant is organized in a Fashion remarkably similar to that of the Stables in that once the building is built and thus unlocked, there is a series of revitializing Quests (much like the clean-up quests at the Stables) that you will need to complete in order to rehabilitate The Candlelit Fork Restaurant. Just saying...

3. The Pet Salon

We'll bet this one is a surprise to you! They snuck this new building and address into an existing block, it being located and situated just south of - and on the same block as - the Competition Center. In fact due to it being so close to that building this one was easy enough to miss!

As you probably guessed, the Pet Salon is where you take your Pets to give them a nice makeover and a bit of the pampering that they clearly deserve! Another very late entry in the Life dreams & Legacies Missions and Quests, building the Pet Salon requires you to reach Level 26, and progress through the LD&L Quests until you are prompted to build it, at which time the requirements will be laid out for you!
